Shananaginns: Jets TD should count on special teams.
1. Once the ball is fumbled both teams are on defense.
2. TD on the board cant just disapear from ragnarok offensively, cause it sure counts against whoever defense its against.
3. If a QB threw an int and the DB ran it back 10 yrds and then fumbled, and the O recovers it and ran it in for a TD, special teams would be credited for a TB, fumble recovery, and the other team, a fumble loss.

First things first, no one has had more, or been frustrated by more ties than me. But ties are ties, and sometimes they will pay off for you and sometimes screw you. If you just add coaches,worth one pt. ,we are still going to come up with just as many ties. If we really want to get less ties, each week we should pick one head to head player, who ever you want that week. This will get every one who wants to win looking into, and understanding individual match ups better. ( you cant just designate franchise players, because their schedual could dictate fate).If you franchise is a RB. playing the Ravens D. hes probally not going any where, but if we picked who ever we wanted in a head to head it would put a little bit of that fate , Keith mentioned, Back into our own hands. But ties or no ties, when they happen to me I get pissed and when they happen to you, I laugh my ass off. Its the ying and yang of it all. Peace the Portland Factor

When ever we quit dicussing the old and the new, we become stagnant and ignorant in soceity and in Ragnarok. In soceity we debated town square beheadings for 100's of years before we decided we shouldn't do it any more. In the NFL they debated Q.B. beheadings for 65 years before they decided you shouldn't any more. So in Ragnarok don't get frustrated just because someone brings something back up. Just keep dicussing, so everyones minds grow as we get information from each other. Because isn't that what it is all about, minds growing & changing minds to find better ways. I myself never get tired of dicussing football bi-laws.

| its not 1 of 9, its 11 being counted only as 1 and then its extremly devalued being that it is 11 being counter as 1 when in reality it should be being compared to 4 other groups qb, rb, recievers, and kickers, and when you compare it to group totals each week we have just made defenses worth less than kickers, and thats bullshit, you can evaluate defenses just as well as any other position.in you second paragraph, what difference does it make wether 1 player makes the play on defense or 2 or3 different players, were talking about impact on the game that is where scoring should come from. as is if a defense makes 2 ints and returns them 85 and 67 yards respectivley down to the five yard line and gets 3 sacks its the equalivent as one 40 yard feild goal and that is fricking rediculos. And of course the kc offense doesnt get credit for it, thats why we score all of the other offensive positions.and lastly if we drafted indivual defensive positions it would be a third of you team. a finally preist or any body else didnt do shit on their own their just credited that way, but some plays are pitches and some are hand offs but Trent doesnt get credit on those plays and neither do the blockers, but you want to talk about something that is hard to predict, is how well an offensive line will play together. ie this week L.T. not shit Marshall Faulk not shit, ect. |

| unedr the new scoring 1 40 yard F.G. , or 1 90 yard receiving day is or 70 yds rushing is worth the same as a defense who gets 2 ints and 3 sacks. Do any of you really think that 1 40 yarder is the same as 2ints and 3 sacks in a game. lets remember we are scoring the efforts of 11 players collectively with defense and in reality its about 40% of a game(50% dedicated to offense and 10% to special teams) and so should go the scoring. |

| your arguments are not sound. first Coach Cower in your imaginary senario if you have two franchise players and you have first pick you get them both any way wether the player gets hurt or not, cause one is your franchise the other your first pick. to mr tuffs. you talk about me being able to turn around and pick him in the first round and being able to have two franchise players, what kind of sence does that make I have 10th pick so any one of you could pick him also and then you would have two franchise players, so why do i forfeit the ability to draft him in any turn just because he was hurt and now all of you have the ability to have two franchise players. so you all can sit around and leave him in the draft uitil the 10th 11th 12th rd and i cant even draft him in the 19th round, this is complete bullshit.I still only have one franchise player , and mike is still being thrown back into the pool. the jamal rule should be to keep things even if a player gets a preseason injury. not to punish a team for having a player get a preseason injury. |

| The Portland Factor would like to welcome every one to the new season, and point out that last year i only posted a couple of messages and didnt talk any shit. So this year i would like to say to all of you this year i am going to kick all of your asses.No more jinks from the Chatanooga Hitwomen, no more bad luck trades with the Valley girl Maulers, no more jerry rice needs 3 tds and a 126yds to win and gets 3tds and 129 for the Roving Gumbies or Burnsville Bitches or who ever the fuck it was. Well you all know what i think of the Carborro DreamCookies( seriously would you put in for a name change please). You know, like the Machipichu Bitches, wasnt that nice of him cause who gives two shits about Syracuse anyway. and to the Fowl Mouth Bitches, talk about fucking lucky.(crazy i never noticed before, there are 3 teams named Bitches in our league, Oh yeh 4 i forgot the Burlington Bitches. and to the Brady Bunch(bitches) yeh you won the bet i owe you ten. but i would just like to say it took the loss of Marshall Faulk, Duece McCallister, Shannon Sharpe, and Michale Vick on the bench at half time for your sorry ass team to win by 1, oooooohhhhh good game. and to the Kootney Grizzly Cubs thanks for loosing alot. and last but not least to the Jottenheimer Noggin Knockers im going to kick your but again. | you said 25%, clearly the kicking game and defense are 25% of a football game, and out of this 25% the kicking game is only about 9% dfense 16%. lets keep it in perspective. the highest a kicker has ever scored since the begining of ragnarok is 22 or 23 points and that was a stellar game. 20 to 25 players a week eclispe the kickers {best ever} so i really feel there scoring chart is fine. and kent is right, there is a huge difference between a kicker that can hit consistant 40 yarders over 30 yarders. teams let 20 and 30 yarders go but they always try to defend a 40 yard feild goal cause of the feild position and the angle of which you need to kick the ball. people who can kick 30 yarders play high school and college 40 and 50 will get you to the league.and to me clearly the defenses values are fine and consistent with the values they have in a actual game. you reffered to the defense as not being half our team then talk about 25% of the points, well if we drafted indvidual defense positions they would be half of our team, and would come up with a lot more than 25% of our points. so just because we draft them as a total team it shouldnt be devalued for what it is. in the begining no one drafted their defense untill way later in the draft 12,13,14 round now you see them getting drefted a lot sooner 8,9, and ill bet this year some go a little earlier than that. i think keeping their value, and as coaches see their value and draft defenses higher and higher will help to keep the draft interesting, so every one isnt drafting the same positions every round, same with kickers. but if a few coaches out there see a inordinate value in kickers or defenses, im sure you will be able to pick up T.B. or david Ackers in the 2nd,3rd. |

| No Marshall, No Shannon because of that dirty cheating fuck romanowski. No Duece even though that little pud fucker on NFL count down said he would start 10 minutes before the game started, so I switched out James Fenderson. The browns kick the Saints ass at home. But to top it all off Michael Vick only plays one half and one series because Carolina is so fucking pathetic that at home there down 41 to 0 with 12 minutes left in the third. Can any one guess how many more times Mr. Vick could have scored in this time?
