Defensive points against question
|

| If a defense scores on a turnover by the other team's offense (not special teams) - do those points count as points against that other team's defense? If not, is it 6 or 7 points that don't count against the defense. |

As I understand it

| A pick six doesn't count against the opposing DF. It is a 6-point gain for the DF that got it. I think. Have a beer. |

That's my understanding also
|

| So if a team gives up 21 points and 7 are from a pick-6, did the defense give up 14 or 15 points? My assumption is that it's only 14. |

it deducts 7 pts from the Points Held value, not 6
|
|

| that's cuz the PAT is bundled with the defensive TD's effect on the scoreboard. |
