I didn't read it until last night. I had skimmed through the first few sentences Sunday morning, then jumped ahead to the match ups.
I went to my brother's wedding in San Francisco a few years ago. The California law kept going back and forth and it wasn't actually legal at the time (they had a legal ceremony last year), but they decided to go ahead and have the religious ceremony with all of their family and friends in attendance. As the Rabbi conducting it stated, they had a very traditional Jewish gay wedding.
It definitely is about time that all states realize that if two people are willing to make the commitment of marriage, the genders of those people shouldn't matter. |
