Fitting that it comes down to the MNF game

to determine this season's champ. Good luck to both sides. But particularly to Keith as we don't need a 3-time winner if it isn't me. |

Congrats to the Skullsplitters. I appreciate you waiting until the second half to pile on the points. Great season, I certainly appreciate all your hard work this year. |

talk about a dramatic ending to the season.... as Kent will attest to i was a bit of a basket case while we were watching that game. 11 of 13 years i've made the playoffs, yet even an appearance in the big game has been a rarity. i was like an autistic Helen Keller last night.
thanks to everyone for making 2009 such a fun season. it's great to see the forum be so busy, as it shows again how this is about more than just football. and thanks also to Scribbles Snavely and the weekly beat. it was nice to have a sunday morning ritual of getting a cup of coffee and sitting down to read the only paper i subscribe to, the Smashmouth Gazette.
dang, i'm ready to fire up Ragnarok v.14!

Yes, our normally rational and reserved Commish was as nervous as a virginal 13-year old West Virginia girl at a family reunion. He was pacing laps around Bub O'malleys and refusing to look at the tv screen because it was bad luck. We didn't actually know whether he had won until we got back to my place and I fired up the computer. Congrats also to Joe, who played a great season and came so close to winning it all. This has been a terrific year, and I can't wait to start planning for 2010. Now if my Steelers can somehow tumble bass-ackwards into the play-offs, life will be good. Thanks to everyone for a fun and exciting season. Happy New Year! |

John Carney is available if you're interested in trading the #1 pick. |

As Kent said in his Sunday article, the best two teams played for the title, and played admirably. So congratulations to Keith on a well-earned and very well-deserved title, and congrats to Joe too for a great season that proved once and for all that excessive homerism is not a bad strategy (does everyone realize Joe's 1st and 2nd round picks were Marshawn Lynch and Terrell Owens?! And he was still the #2 seed! Amazing work by Joe.) |

I was trying to forget that I didn't have a pick, in retrospect, until the 3rd round. This team went a lot farther than I ever imagined. I am with Keith, it was a tough game to watch. I told my wife, "if the Bears hold them in the 2nd half I can win the championship". She said, "who are the Bears, and what are they holding".
Not only was I blessed with a beautiful little girl this year, but I take the honors of first loser. Excellent season guys, I can't wait for 2010 Ragnarok. Happy New Year. |
