Still close. This is the most exciting buzz in June in years here in Ragnarok. I feel like a democrat though. And as strongly as I believe a tiered league is the way to go, it will die. But I think there are still votes to be counted.
I'm more intrigued by these new ideas of draft order and FP's. This seems more radical than the vote! I love these ideas. I hate the draft order proposed by Koo ONLY in that this is where I usually live (8). But I would say unselfishly that I would consider this in a forum. I don't think anyone really has a beef. I think we want to finish draft weekend and truly think: I can do this.
If you're not thinking that, then I don't know what the fuck you're thinking. I never think Koo or Keith or Stu is going to win. Never. I just don't want the beginning of a season that looks like a chalk slate that has been erased and has residue of past seasons, I guess. I love the change. If we said we are adopting Playground pick, reverse draft, and no Franchise Players... well shit. We're all in the same boat. And maybe some of us do hunker down and stat out 564 players before July 15? That's the life they choose.
I know I'm a good playerI play a shitty ESPN Leauge with guys who are moderately if not total NFL fans. I've won that league twice in five years. Here, I've come close once in 20. I'm not saying we water down the league. But why is anyone holding on to anything so tightly. No matter what we do, we are doing on the same field.
All to say. This is the best damn fuckin league no matter what we do. If I get 5th, it's a win. And I don't look back. If I get 10th, I don't look back. But it's in week 5 that I go "Fuck, why am I in a league with Stu and Kent, and have to play them twice." It's easy to rationalize June whatever.
