    The Mulligan Rule

If, after the draft, an owner wants to drop a player he may do this and an additional 17th round will be added to the draft. This will be a continuation of the regular draft and no random order drawing will be made. He/She must still abide by the draft position limits.

    Rookie keeper:

Any sophomore player (rookie from the previous season) may also be kept. You must choose a draft spot you will keep this player before August 15th. He will be protected for 23 spots in front of this. For example, the first picking player has chosen to keep his rookie in the second round (the 24th pick.) 24-23=1. This player could only be sniped by the first pick, which is this players first spot. Don't trade it! *This rookie rule has been expanded to rookies acquired in trade or free agency! Only one rookie per team.

Drafted rookies may be traded and retained next year with the rookie rule. Still, only one rookie may be retained.

    Franchise Players

Every team will be given the opportunity to retain any one player for the next season. This player will be known as the franchise player for your team. This player will be chosen one week before the draft. If your franchise player becomes injured or suspended during the pre-season you will be allowed to re-choose a player from your roster. This is a flexible rule but please get your player in so teams have a week to be ready. It will make the draft go faster! If for any reason an owner is chosen after the deadline they will be given a day or two to choose a franchise player.

What if I don't have a Franchise Player?

Any team me elect to not keep a franchise player. If he does, he will be given a pick after the first round. If more than one team elects to do this, picks will be decided by roshambo.

    Pick Your Draft Slot

We base the draft order on a combination of last season's final results and also a "Pick Your Draft Slot" system. The loser playoffs will determine the teams that get the first six picks, and the winner playoffs will determine the order of the bottom six picks.

With this system, the winner of the Loser Playoffs gets the #1 pick in the Pick Your Draft Slot system. The runner-up would get the #2 pick, and this continues all the way to whoever got last place (12th place) will get the #6 pick.

The winners bracket will be playing for the last six Pick Your Draft Slots, but it is inverted and the Champion ends up with the 12th pick in the Pick Your Draft Slot system. Here are all of the detailed slots:

    1st pick: 7th place finisher
    2nd pick: 8th place finisher
    3rd pick: 9th place finisher
    4th pick: 10th place finisher
    5th pick: 11th place finisher
    6th pick: 12th place finisher
    7th pick: 6th place finisher
    8th pick: 5th place finisher
    9th pick: 4th place finisher
    10th pick: 3rd place finisher
    11th pick: 2nd place finisher
    12th pick: 1st place finisher

    Free Agency

Free agents: Any player not drafted may be picked up through free agency. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO AQUIRE PLAYERS OFF OF THE FREE AGENT POOL. This will be done through a sealed auction. At the beginning of the season, each coach will be given 100 free agent points. Whenever a coach loses a game they gain 10 pts., 5 for each team if they tie. You may not bid on a player if there are no points in your pool. If you win the auction you must take the player.

The "silent" auction will be opened at 7:00pm central on each Wednesday and Sunday at 9, depending on start time. You must also put in a drop list with your free agent pick-ups! PS if high points tie worst record gets them.

Free agent bids will only be accepted from teams with legal roster limits. If for any reason they have an illegal roster their bids will not be accepted. Examples of this would be a Tuesday trade putting you over the limit or taking a player off of IR.

Immediately following after the regular season is over, free agency is only available to teams who meet the minimum roster requirements for the season-starting draft. For example, if you only have 1 QB on your roster then you are ineligible for this rule. If a team is qualified to use this rule, they can only use it if a player is injured and they can only use it to replace a player of the same position.

Free agency will be open between weeks 0 and 13.

Ties for points will then go for the worst record reciving the player.

    Trades

Trading players: Any player may be traded for any other, two players for one, three team trades, trades including free agent points, or even trading drafting spots.

All trade will be looked at for “unfairness.” If anything is deemed unfair the trade is void. An example of this could be a coach trading a great player away because he has no chance of winning the season and wants his friend to win. You may also trade away stuff from next year but payment for next year must be made! ie. Aaron could trade away ten years of first round picks but he would have to pay the $700 for ten years of dues!

If you trade a player away you may not trade back for him for two weeks.

Trades will be between the time franchise players are chosen until week 12.

    Injured Reserve

What if my player gets hurt?: Each team will be given one injured reserve slot. Any player hurt can be put in this slot. He can’t be started by your team or picked up by any other team. In addition, you may pick up another player. If your player recovers you still must drop someone. If an IR player gains any points while on IR he is released into free agency. A pre-draft franchise player may be put on IR but will not be allowed to let you enter the mulligan draft round. He may be dropped as could an injured or non-playing rookie. This would allow entrance into the mulligan round.

    Illegal Rosters

If you have too many players on your team rosters you will lose that weeks game. If your IR player gains any points he will be released into free agency. You will still play your game in this case. If you have too many starters of any position the highest scoring player will be benched.

    Fairness Rule

If at any time it seems like a rule or non-rule is being exploited and you are trying to take advantage of it or seem to be taking advantage you should be prepared for the worst. I am trying to make this fair for all. In this case, mid-season rule changes may occur. Other problems may also need mid-season rule changes but it seems like most major problems have been eliminated. Matt is gone.
