We will have two more weeks of drafting and playing, and ALL TEAMS are playing for their spot on the payouts ladder. We no longer have a $20 weekly payout for the lone high scorer, but instead have payouts for every team except whoever finishes dead last. Yes, even the teams who didn't make the top 4 are all playing for incremental money prizes in our playoffs.

For this Week 15, placeholder matchups will be created and the top 4 teams will get a Win and the bottom 4 teams will get a Loss. After this week is played, the matchups will be rearranged to reflect this W-L in the standings.

Week 15 Drafthouse Royal Rumble The Dude - 12/14/2022 We have one more regular season week with a $20 winner, and then in Weeks 16 and 17 we'll be having a playoff bracket with a pay ladder throughout.
In order to do another regular season week and still maintain symmetry for everyone, Week 15 will be a Royal Rumble. Every team plays every other team at the same time, and the four teams with the highest score will get a Win.
In the case of a tie for the 4/5 cutoff, the team with the better overall W-L record (followed by season YTD points, followed by divisional record, followed by most points against) will get the ring advantage and take the Win.
There will be placeholder games posted for the purpose of having a vehicle for creating team scores. After the Monday night game, the game matchups will be rearranged in order to give the top four teams the Win.
After this, we'll set the playoff brackets. The overall top four regular season teams will be competing for the trophy and all eight teams will be playing for a money ladder payout.

It is time to get locked in for next week's live Week 1 draft! All owners will need to go to LeagueSafe and pay their $50 dues. We'll be having the normal $20 prize to each week's top scorer, for Weeks 1 through Week 15. Our playoffs will be in Week 16 and 17, and we'll have a modest ladder prize payout for each final position.
I'll next be turning my attention to getting the drafting website all set up for us. We start drafting next Wednesday night!
2022 Drafthouse Roll Call! Commish - 6/22/2022
Alrighty, boys, it's time to start coalescing around our upcoming Drafthouse season.
I liked much about our payout structure last year, especially with the playoff payouts, but I'm not sure what we are going to do for the 2022 season. Last season, I added $100 to the prize pool out of my own pocket but charitable donations aren't happening going forward.
We'll have to take a look at the buy-in and the payout structure to see what we want to do. I really like the $40 to join the league and then each high week's score wins $20, but that does leave the playoffs to be only about the glory of the trophy. We'll need to decide if we want to raise the buy-in to $50 and keep the $20 weekly prize and still have a playoff prize ladder, or just keep it at $40/$20, or do something else entirely. Let's put on our thinking helmets and come up with a payouts system that we all would like.

Big Drafthouse Announcement II Commish - 9/29/2021
Congrats to the Barleywine and to the A-Train for being on the leaderboard for seasonal payouts: $40 Bigfoot Barleywine $20 A-Train
Starting in Week 4, there will be an adjustment made to how payouts are handled. If you autodraft and win the week and do not have a premade, curated rankings list that you supplied, then you'll only earn $10 for the weekly payout and the remaining $10 will be paid to the highest scoring team that participated in that week's draft.
There are two main reasons for this. First, we don't want the league to devolve into non-participants being a common event. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, I have already announced that I am donating $100 out of my own pocket towards the overall prize pool. My reason for doing this is that I am trying to get more testing on the CustomizedDrafts platform so that I can refine it and make it bulletproof for what will hopefully be a formal launch in the spring of 2022. Having non-participants undermines the spirit of the league as well as why the prize pool is significantly increased.
Please note that all of us may have an occasional and legitimate reason for missing a draft once in awhile. In this scenario, you can login to CustomizedDrafts on Tuesday or Wednesday and go to the RANKINGS area and then create your own rankings list. If you miss the draft but have a prepared rankings list ready to go, you will still qualify for the full $20 weekly prize. It's only if you autodraft and did not prepare a list that the prize would become $10.
On a slightly related note, the Pick Your Draft Slot deadline will be moved from 8pm on Wednesday to midnight on Tuesday night (all times are Eastern). This will allow me to set up the draft room earlier so that anyone who does create custom rankings will be able to actually specify the draft room to apply them to. Yes, that's right, if you have a custom rankings list prepared then you have the ability to assign it to a specific draft room way in advance.
I hope that everyone understands why these adjustments are being made. I think that we can still accommodate periodic unusual schedules we may all be subject to, while also acknowledging full participation if a rankings list is prepared in case a live draft has to be missed.
