    Food for the Draft.
I am planning to make true NC BBQ for the weekend, with buns and slaw. Do we have a fairly concrete idea of how many of us will be there? I'd rather have extra than not enough. I do realize that Alex and Stu are not meat eaters.

    DRAFT WEEKEND is coming!
And I am so excited for it.

My house will be open for guests from Thursday all the way through to Monday, just like the schedule we've had in the past. Anyone can come for any and all of those nights/days. It'd be fun to watch the opening Thursday night game with the boys if anyone can start their weekend early. There are three sofas plus floor space (I have one or two airbeds but feel free to bring your own if you have one), plus camping space outside.

For food, I'm trying to find a decent used gas grill but have surprisingly come up empty so far. I do have a classic Weber kettle grill (uses charcoal), plus a meat smoker, plus a new ceramic grill/smoker. These are available to anyone who wants to use them. We have two refrigerators and I'm going to try to clear out as much space as possible before the weekend, but bring your coolers as usual. The garden is winding down in preparation for the fall and winter crops, but I'll have nearly unlimited hot peppers available for cooking (including stuffed/wrapped and grilled/smoked jalapenos).

For entertainment, we have a lot of action on the docket. I'm going to set up an 18 hole Efland Open croquet course that will be inspired by miniature golf. We'll also have cornhole (albeit generic cornhole unless Zach brings his boards). And a sauna and a pool, so bring your swimsuits (just got a new liner this year, too). And we have two Oculus VR headsets for a miniature golf tournament, complete with casting to the TV so that everyone can watch the matches. If anyone can bring another Oculus, that would be amazing (I think up to 8 can play together).

We'll also have a poker game, of course. And I have a firepit in the backyard.

If it rains, I think that'll be fine because there is a carport where any tents could be moved out of the rain if needed. Also, there is a covered porch for smokers even if it rains. So I think we can't get "rained out." And swimming in the rain is fun.

The current plan for the Ragnarok Draft is to do a handful of rounds on Friday night and then finish up the remainder starting sometime on Saturday (early) afternoon. That schedule will accommodate anyone who wants to go golfing on Saturday, as well as if Eric has to deliver mail on that day.

I hope to see as many of you guys as possible, for as long as possible!

    Kent and beer
I was gonna bring Kent over there in the morning and work from Keith's house that day. Outside of one big meeting around 2:30 I can basically phone it in and help set up. I'm going to grab a bunch of beers. I know Keith likes IPAs. I'm a stout, lager, ale guy. Anyone else have any preferences that I can grab?

no need to bring bath or pool towels
We have tons of towels. It may be easier all around to just use our stack of towels rather than everyone having their own wet towels hanging out to dry in random places. Towelie would approve!

Feel free to bring your own hand towels, though.
