    Ragnarok 2022 Draft Venue
Hard to believe, but we are a mere 3 months away from the big Draft Weekend. Oh boy, let the PTSD begin!

For 2022, we'll be going Old School and won't be renting a luxurious house for 4 nights. Instead, there will be a semi-luxurious location available for 2 nights.

I'm opening up my house for anyone that wants to socialize in person, just like the old days. The pool and sauna will be open, and there will also be cornhole and a professional croquet course set up. The garden will hopefully be a-poppin' and its bounty will be available for any cooking aspirations. Rumor has it that there are nearby golf courses.

Anyone can stay here, either inside on a couch or self-supplied air mattress or outside in a tent in the yard. Or you can just show up for the draft itself. There will not be any required Covid tests or masks or the like. Just be a common-sense and thoughtful person like I know each of you are.

There will be no pressure and no expectations for attending, so any social gathering in person is a total bonus in my book.

We'll do the (online) draft either in the large living room or outside, depending on everyone's comfort levels. If it rains, we'll still have the option of an outside draft venue underneath the carport.

Hope to see as many of you fuckers as possible!

    Yey!!
I will be there in person with my tent… I have access to a 10X10 canopy as well for more outdoor shade or rain protection. Glad Kent got the new owner situated and can’t wait to gun for the loser play off winner spot ( my rightful place). Old school draft weekend, Love it!

    Woop!
As of now, I plan on coming over. Will decide later whether I camp out or not. Will bring the updated boards, of course. Old School is New School!

    I'm so there!
Just a note: The post about the new owner was a joke. Guess I'd better up my funny game, huh? There is a possible prospect from Midgard that I am hoping to meet very soon and vet for the spot. I have not heard a word from Mike Betts in a very long time so I think it's safe to say he is not an option at this point. I can't wait to see you guys and kick it old school!

    more Draft Weekend tidbits
Thanks to Joe being a master woodworker, we'll have a cornhole set for the weekend. My boards aren't painted, but I do have some sweet "Skullsplitters 5" cornhole bags that everyone can use.

I'm planning on firing up my new smoker on both Friday and Sunday. No idea what we'll be cooking on it, but it'll be smokin' and so anyone is welcome to use it. I also have an old fashioned and classic Weber charcoal grill that we can use. Hopefully I'll have an easy outdoor gas grill by then, too, but that's dependent upon if I can find a decent used one at a fair price.

I've been canning lots of different salsas using only garden grown ingredients, about 20 pints so far. I've got over 40 pepper plants in the garden and should have lots of sweet and hot peppers if anyone feels inspired. I'll save up a bunch of jalepenos for some cheese stuffed and bacon wrapped action on the grill.

Definitely bring your swim suits, as the sauna and pool are in play. We put a new liner in the pool this year and Alex came over yesterday and helped me put up shade sails over the pool. Wow, that really makes it a comfortable hang out spot even on a blistering and hot sunny day.

    Looking forward to see y'all!
