CustomizedDrafts.com is finally online for 2021

I've set up my own practice Ragnarok league on that platform and put in everyone's keepers and have been able to do customized mock drafts.
We'll be using this platform to do our official Ragnarok Draft, so everyone is encouraged to practice using it. If you do set up any of your own wishlists and notes, those will also be readily available in the draft room itself.
It had been mothballed for two years, so if you run into any issues please let me know. |

| I can't seem to get it to do anything (that could just be me). Every time I try to start a new league, it puts the league into 2019. The only league I could try to start a draft in was the one I set up 2 years ago, but I can't get the draft board to come up. |

i'll be working on it bigtime later today and tomorrow, but in the meantime do this:
1. go to your 2019 league
2. Copy your league - this will create a 2021 version
3. adjust your draft order, keepers, etc. in the new 2021 league
4. draft all of your Washington Football Team players

I was able to create a new league...
|
|
|
|
...with current FPs and Rookie Keepers. However, after one full mock draft, all subsequent drafts have my choices to be queued, not straight up drafted. Not the biggest deal, but adds a step in the process. And Dat keeps drafting Etienne. Strong move Dat.

Official Ragnarok Draft Room
Everyone should be invited and can access it, except for the new guy. Tommy, sign up on that website and then I can make you a friend and add you to the draft room.
On another note, I was surprised to see that the Fucking Lockbox was enabled in the draft room and it is used to select players and make special announcements, *BUT* there is not currently any mechanism to get the lockbox selections into the database. This was shocking at first, but then I understood why I didn't get to that part in 2019 becaues it's very nuanced and there are a lot of user interfaces to build. So in 2019, it was just a test to verify that the lockbox picks get properly considered and revealed. But not the full feature.
Anyways, as much as I would love to build all of the UI and rules to handle this so that everyone can enter their own lockbox picks directly into the website, there is no way that I can pull that off in time. If I had known this before now, I would have done it a week ago.
There is not a way for us to have a physical fucking lockbox that everyone can use, either, since not everyone will be at the house on Thursday.
I'm proposing that we do a virtual fucking lockbox. I can set up a special email box and any lockbox picks can be emailed there before kickoff on Thursday, and these would be treated just like if we had a physical fucking lockbox.
1) It's the responsibility and requirement of the owner to announce that they had a lockbox select when that pick arrives.
2) If the owner fails in this responsibility and it is later discovered that a lockbox pick was not announced but should have been, the owner is subject to sanctions that we need to define. Perhaps a fine of 30 Megabucks.
3) At the end of the draft, the lockbox emails are revealed as being unopened and they are opened in front of everyone in order to verify the earlier declared lockbox picks. Just like we would have done with a physical fucking lockbox.
What are everyone's thoughts on the fucking lockbox? It would be nice to incorporate it somehow, considering how many stud players are in the Thursday night game. |

I am planning out how to set up the physical draft room and podium, and have just one last thing to determine: How to set up a podium picking station that doesn't use my personal CustomizedDrafts account?
This can be easily done if any one owner was planning on going old school and not really using the website to manage their rankings, submit picks, etc. In that case, we'd simply login as that user on the podium computer and make that user the owner of the draft room and then the computer at the podium would have the editing interface.
Was anyone planning on going old school and not really using the draft website to manage rankings, queues, etc.?

| After Thursday's kickoff, Jacqueline will open the lockbox emails and ferry them over to the fucking lockbox in our draft room. I've told her how to do it and she's all in. This solves the problem of how to get that information into our system without me seeing it. And then it's more fun and more importantly we can be assured of no mistakes in terms of what is in the lockbox vs how the draft actually played out. |

Some fucking genius wired up the team page with the lockbox on the drafting website. Nice! |

Can you draft your own Fucking Lockbox pick ahead of where you Fucking Lockboxed him?
Let's say I'm looking to cleverly lock up Bucs elite kicker Ryan Succop by Fucking Lockboxing him in the 14th round, only to watch him boot 6 50-yard field goals in Thursday's game as the Bucs storm past the Cowgirls 18-0. There's no rule preventing me from drafting Succop in the 12th round ahead of my own Fucking Lockbox pick (though by moving up my selection, I'd be forfeiting Succop's points from Thursday's game to ensure I drafted him). |
