    Divisions
How about No divisions and top 6 teams with victory points make playoffs with top 2 teams getting byes. I run a couple leagues and made this change a couple years ago of getting rid of divisions . If a team come in 2nd place in there division and has more victory points than a division winner , they get a lower seed because of the division there in. With no divisions the true top 6 teams are seeded according to there victory points and not where they finish in the division

    Just my 2 cents

I'm open to what the league consensus will be
This is as good a time as any to take a fresh look, and I'm happy to do whatever the league wants to do.

I do understand how sometimes a divisional structure can result in situations where some teams have a harder road to the playoffs, whereas a free-for-all approach is straightforward and attempts to be a merit based approach. I think the divisional structure offers some subtle benefits, though, so the question then becomes which approach outweighs the other.

There are two things that I like about divisions.

One is that I think it lends itself to more fun for more teams as the season progresses, as most teams will find themselves in the playoff hunt for a longer duration. Teams are only having to compare themselves to their divisional rivals and that usually means more teams are invested in playoff outcomes deeper into the season. With a single list approach, my concern would be that it would stratify the league and then some teams may check out earlier in the season.

A second advantage of the divisional approach is that it offers a perfectly symmetrical schedule. How would a schedule be crafted with 12 teams and 15 weeks, and still be symmetrical? Is there a way to do that? How do y'all handle that in your league, JJ?

    Good stuff!

    Realignment
I like the divisions, myself. But that's probably because that's the only way I've ever played. But since this is a slow auction, with victory points, and has a different bent anyway, I suppose I'd be open to try something outside the box. It seems that it would bring VP into the foreground even more, which isn't a bad thing. For a season there, I didn't even notice or get it. Hah!

That said, I don't have a strong preference, though if we do stay in divisions and roll dice, or spin a wheel, I'd like to "see" it. Not out of a lack of trust. It would just be more fun. Even if it's recorded. I'm just happy to get back on the fantasy gridiron.

Having no divisions is kind of a neat idea
This is my 25th year of playing fantasy football in a myriad of league types, but I have never played in a divisionless league. Thinking about it more, the only biggest drawback is a theoretical one where the schedule is not symmetrical. That could create competitive imbalances but it may also be overstated in that regard. It's just random.

I'd be open to trying this out for 2021 and then evaluating things before the 2022 season. If we all like it, great. If we end up not liking it, we can always go back to a divisional structure.

With such a bold change, we'd really need to have a league consensus in order to do it. If anyone feels strongly that they want to keep the divisional approach, then we should leave it as is. It wouldn't be proper to have an established league and then force such a big change upon longstanding owners. That being said, I think that I'm officially in the "sure, I'm ok with it" camp.

    I hate change
Also, I hate not playing FF. Never have been a fan of VP but still play in the league. Just wanna play. Do whatever you crazy kids think of and I am in.

    No preference
Hi! I really have no preference. It always seemed as if, for all practical purposes, the dvisions didn't really mean much. Perhaps that's because I was never winning my division, so my impression was that other factors came into play to determine the remaining seeds. Anyway, I'll play however it is laid out.

If we go divisionless and randomize 3 weeks...
... we can have some fun and do an online and realtime draw for matchups: https://pickerwheel.com/. We can do a Zoom meet and I can share the screen as we reveal our schedule, if anyone wants to make a fun time of it.
