1. Can we use a budget for free agency (aka FAAB) instead of a waiver wire? Or at least have FAAB all week and then full on waivers after a certain point/Sunday?
2. Can we nut punch the kickers somehow?
3. Only score fumbles lost, and not fumbles recovered by the same team?
4. Are there any crazy scoring rules that we'd want to play with?
5. How should we determine the draft order? Picking marbles in a marble race? Some sort of online interaction? Simple random? Etc.
6. How long should the draft clock be? |

| Made some scoring adjustments. Trying to get as close to Ragnarok scoring as possible...it's not possible. I added missed FG negative points. There are several options to reward additional points, 40+ runs, or big runs/catches with TD. You should all be able to see the roster and scoring updates. Let me know. Thanks |

Not sure what the site allows, so feel free to scrap any of these offhand if they aren't possible anyway:
Superflex (and GFY). I'll fight anyone who objects. How we want to score the Superflex may be the bigger question.
.01 pts per reception: can't remember who suggested this--and maybe it was a joke--but I think it's hilarious, and we should do it.
Kickers only count negatively: another fun one. They're kickers, for Chrissake. Something like:
Made XP: 0 pts
Missed XP: -3 pts
Made FGs: 0 pts
Missed FG 0-29 yards: -3 pts
Missed FG 30-39 yards: -2 pts
Missed FG 40-49 yards: -1 pts |

| Definitely need at least 1 super flex. Why not eliminate kickers all together? I think small starting roster will be better for more options. Qb, super, RB, WR TE only. |

IMO is to make them only count negatively (so you WISH you didn't have a kicker).
I'm a fan of a more traditional starting lineup (+ superflex). Something like QB, Superflex, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, DT, Asshole Kicker.
We may want to have deeper benches to account for COVID issues? Or if we don't want to have a crazy big draft, maybe just a larger IR? |

| Having 5 starting slots and say 8 bench slots helps mitigate the need for an IR, making FA more open and a shorter draft. I say let’s get weird. |

For roster composition and starting lineups, I don't have any exact suggestions but I think that I have the following conclusions:
A. There will probably be many players who will be on the Covid-19 list every week. Far beyond normal injury frequency.
B. We still want to reward good drafting, and that probably means that we have a minimum starting lineup and roster size that would reflect this. If it is too small, then the draft's importance is undermined and our free agency pool is too rich.
C. We don't want to have the megalith rosters that are in Ragnarok. Having a large roster size is not protection against Covid-19 because the occurances of C19 will be randomly distributed and probably will be clustered on some fantasy teams while sparing others. If we have large benches then some teams will probably be able to hoard healthy players that would be needed by the other teams that would be more afflicted by C19.
D. We want to have the ability for teams to put multiple C19 players on injured reserve and then get them back on their active rosters once they are cleared.
E. We want the free agency pool to be serviceable but not overpowered.
I also really like the only-negative-points system for Kickers. And 0.01 PPR is hilarious.

| Those are all very practical, astute observations. I was thinking along the lines of this not being Ragnarok and that there prolly won’t be a full season (or at least a full season with copious weekly unfit to play), trying to make the whole process quick and painless. Do something weird to mirror everything that is happening around us. I didn’t think of the point of making the draft less important. I strongly agree with that point so I yield any more discussion on the rules to whom ever is making that decision (Joe) let’s do this and set a date!! |

| Anyone down for a quick rules setting zoom meeting to set superflex and then go fuck yourself meeting. Tonight some time, I'll set up a zoom, those in attendance get rules recommendations. Everyone else can fuck off and live with it. |

As for kickers,
If they can only get negative points, why start one? Keep all the other rules for kickers as suggested, but make a 50+ yard FG worth 10 points (or some value high enough to risk playing one). |

All valid points in the the thread. Lets just make sure we find common ground. I won't die on any hill, but I do want it to be as fun as we can make it! Stu is right about having only/mostly negative outcomes for kickers. If there was a combo play where it was a solid reason/gamble to fill the K spot, and I lean more towards Bill's comments. Scoring frenzies would be more fun than 28 to 32 scores. Meh...

Ignore FGs. Except as pts against for DEF.
Give the extra point to RBs and WRs. (7pts for TDs)
Leave 2pt conversion scoring as is.
But DEF could still block FGs for pts.
K could be another FLEX? |

| Other than that it's hilarious, different, and an embodiment of Ragnarok awesomeness and creativity, is that the strategy for drafting kickers totally changes. Do you want a kicker from a terrible team so they have fewer chances to miss? Do you go for the most accurate? Who the hell knows, but that would be part of the fun. If SFAGFY is intended as a ray of sunshine in the midst of a world of crap, why not have some fun with it? |
