I concede that the Bunch did indeed score 4 points with its defense and therefore legitimately won its contest with the Hitmen and thereby won the division.

BUT..........it was awful lucky. If Fiedler doesn't overthrow Chambers FIVE &^%$# times last night in the Miami victory, Chambers scores 2 points and the Hitmen tie and I win the division. It was that close. Unbelievable, but congratulations on the win, Bunch. Just don't get as full with yourself as the Smart Mouth Bass have become!

this truly is a game of inches
there are SO many examples to find for everyone, especially when looking at an entire season... if the Packers' Diggs hadn't made a miracle shoestring tackle on Bennett Sunday night, this would all be academic as the Skullsplitters would've clinched #2. ahhh, "the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat."

i think that all of us, being veterans of a thousand psychic wars, now see this exercise for what it is, and recognize the need to be humble both in victory and defeat.

thanks to all for a great season, and i look forward to seeing how the playoffs will resolve.

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
Each week everyone can say, "what if I played this guy" or "what if Harrison wouldn't have dropped that wide open TD on Sunday which would have given me a nicer cushion." But this league is a good one: very competitive, well run, bottom line fantasy football. The bottom line says I'm 8-5-1 and the Bashers are 8-6. I will not apologize for starting 0-3 and then going 8-2-1 down the stretch. I certainly will not apologize for telling Joe I was gonna kick his ass and then doing it to get my team rolling. I do think that the Factor got screwed, but maybe next year he will get all the breaks. Bashers: good luck this weekend and maybe we'll play this thing out. Keith: you did an unbelievable job this year, the site rocks.

    Wow.
Bachman, you actually said some nice things. However...how did the Factor get screwed more than I did? He chose to trade LT and Vick rocked. Next season I own you, by the way.
