I really do not see any downside to this.
* It does not undermine the existing system.
* The argument of "you should have bid higher" is complete nonsense; no matter how high the bids are, one team will win and one team will come up short.
* The league is set up to encourage free agency due to having such short benches for skill players, yet only having one free agency session after Wednesday totally undermines this intention.
* More opportunities to spend Hack Silver is a good thing.
* If the goal is to have a competitive league, having active teams field incomplete starting rosters should be avoided at all costs; losing on a lone Sunday bid and not being able to field a team is a complete failure of design. This one should be obvious.
I do really like that we only have free agency sessions on Wednesdays and Sundays. It's nice to not be racing people to the marketplace on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. However, the system should allow for active teams to be able to use free agency to get starting players and it does not do this. Instead, it is a broken approach that results in incomplete starting rosters - something that we should do everything to avoid. It's broken. |

| I feel that should be a point to be brought up in a rules meeting during the off season, not something that should be added halfway through a season, I’m sorry your 2 point bid failed, mine did too. |

This should be something that any league would want to avoid at all costs. It's really a capital offense for any league to knowingly have a broken system that does not allow active owners to field starting lineups. Period. Games should not be decided by this common scenario.
I'd like to hear the opinions of other owners besides Punky (aka Brad). When I brought this up at the beginning of the season, two owners immediately supported the idea of having two free agency sessions on Sundays. In addition, Eric also said that he had previously proposed this idea and so that makes four in favor. I'm guessing that if the rest of the league chimed in there would be a fairly positive consensus. The only one against it is, surprise surprise, Brad. I mean Punky.
I also have yet to hear a single credible argument against having two free agency sessions on Sundays.
Adding it this year will do no harm whatsoever and it could actually save this league from being utterly broken. This is not a rules change. This is not a scoring change. This is just adding one last minute free agency session before Sunday's kickoff. It doesn't have to wait until some big group discussion next year. It could just be decided and implemented starting next week and the league would instantly be better because of it.

| Sorry for the confusion, guys. It’s something that can be remedied, I hope. I assumed that if you get your bid, your next bid as a contingency plan shouldn’t go through if the player to be dropped is already dropped. I apologize if someone really needed Sanu to complete your roster this week. Just something to look at fixing for next year. Not having the ability to put out a starting roster isn’t right. If you think you might not get your guy, having a backup in place shouldn’t be penalized if you do happen to get your guy. |

| I have no issue with having additional FA sessions added to the league. We should all be wanting the best out of our fellow owners to make this the best fantasy league we can. Why are we putting up roadblocks to hinder ourselves and each other, it makes no sense. The ability to add this is there, why we are not is beyond me. |

| Has been Keith's point about our very tight roster and having only one opportunity to fill an empty roster spot after Thursday games. For an example; If your team has only one quarterback or one tight end and that player plays on Monday Night, that team is not obligated to post his status until after our Wednesday FA. Then only to have one chance to fill such an important spot such as quarterback! |

| So in the above scenario, an owner needing a qb on Sunday morning. The surest thing you can do in our current system is bid on two starting qbs, but with such tight rosters that means you are dropping two players, both of whom will be someone of quality. |

Having a second FA on sundays would help solve this problem. We have nudged the rosters down for the past few years and it seems as if this is, now, a problem. I would like each person to call me in the next few days to give me their input and vote. A mid season change is a big deal and time is short.
Please call from 5pm to 11:30. I hope this gives a large enough window. Thanks, E. |

I have adjusted the free agency so we now have 2 sessions on Sunday.
|
|
|
|
| The first session is at 8am, to account for London games. The second is at 11am, so teams have time to find out injury updates. |
