i'm excited about flying to Minnesota for draft weekend
thanks to everyone for having me in your league!

i decided to take advantage of the draft being rescheduled for Sunday and i bought myself an out of state fishing license for Saturday, August 24th. i grew up in the PR/Osage area and i'm excited about revisiting any of my old fishing holes.

as long as Brad doesn't "Fredo" me on a rowboat, if anyone would like to take me fishing on that day i'd love to go.

also, this isn't about catch and release. it's about legal limits and eating fresh fish!

    fantastic!
let's lock it in and go fishing on Saturday!

some of the lakes i would fish at long ago included Straight and Blueberry but most of my time was fishing near where i lived on Gull Lake up near Tenstrike.

i mostly fished for bass and northerns and panfish, and didn't get into walleye fishing as much. not because i didn't want to, it's just that i enjoyed catching and eating bass so much. i'd definitely love to do some walleye fishing if that is your specialty, Mr. Walleye Express.

you can go ahead and pick wherever you'd like to go and whatever you'd like to target and when we're putting the boat in the water, and i'm ALL IN with all of your decisions. you definitely have your finger on the fish pulse.

i'll be thoroughly enjoying the fishing regardless of whether or not we catch anything or get to keep anything. but if we get some keepers, we should plan on eating some fresh fish on Saturday night. that would be a real treat for me.

running the draft and other stuff
Oh my, we are only three days away from the draft!

It sounds like we'll be running the draft on www.customizeddrafts.com. It may be good for everyone to login before Sunday and get familiar with the website. You can generate a rankings list and then reorder it to your liking if you want to put your own rankings list into the website for use when you do the draft using a computer. Technically the website works on a smartphone, too, but for now the mobile UI isn't as polished as it is on desktop.

In addition, there is now the ability to have a dedicated machine run the big screen draft board and it has a slot editor for anyone to be able to enter picks (whether an offline team owner or a master of ceremonies). Which means that you can do the draft using pen and paper, no problem.

If you want to mock draft the Osage league with all keepers in all appropriate draft slots, create a League at CustomizedDrafts and then enter the teams and the draft order and the keepers and the position requirements, and then every mock draft room that you launch will be pre-loaded with those configurations. It allows you to accurately mock draft our league board. You can even psychologically profile league mates, such as who is a big homer or which players you know someone will pick if available, etc.

The only thing we'll need is a big screen tv and some device with a web browser to connect to the it. Does anyone have an extra laptop or desktop machine we could use to run the big screen?

On a different note, it sounds like there will be some fishing on Saturday! I think Cory is running the plan, and then Jeff gets done with work at 2:30 and would also like to fish.

I updated my owner's info with my cell phone #, so if anyone needs to contact me that info is on the league Owners page and also my team page.
