this sounds totally crazy, but i'm seriously putting this out there for consideration for 2018. what if we would tighten up the Vegas odds for our league games (i can use actual per-player-per-week projections, using a third party), put a cap on the maximum bid amount (maybe 3-5MB per week), and allow anyone to place Megabuck bets on Ragnarok games?

I'm down! It might make the most sense to put a fairly low ceiling on how many MB can be earned or lost each week as you mention.

I'm not really for it.
I see it as being more of a Fu related thing than a MB related thing. I'm not overly fond of the prospect of free agency bids being decided by who has done the best in gambling on the matchups. Especially later in the season when balances tend to be low and a big free agent can appear out of nowhere (like CJ Anderson in 2014).
That being said, I'm not completely against it. There would need to be restrictions. I'm thinking 1 MB per matchup or a maybe total MB bet per week limit. Maybe we can do a test for the rest of this season. We can pick the match ups based on the current spread system for the rest of the season just to gather data on how good we are (or aren't) at making these kinds of bets.
