Issues

1. Coach - I've always wanted to draft a coach, I'm for it.
2. Playoffs - 4 team playoff. No losing records in the playoffs.
3. Schedule - 17 weeks, I like the idea of playing as long as possible. However, it's hard to come up with two good filler weeks especially when the bottom 6 somehow have to have a playoff for lottery chances. We talked about week 14 being a divisional showdown for final playoff seeding, 1 vs. 1, 2 vs. 2, etc. After that? One way or another one of the playoff groups might need to include a bye week since it will have 6 teams. Open to suggestion.
4. League name - What Jim said with the old school stuff. Thinking...
5. Draft day - any of the proposed days will work for me. My order of prefernce is 1. fri the 29th, 2. 2nd or 3rd, 3. 23rd or 24th.
Looking forward to it, sounds like a good group of FFL addicts. Jeremy, don't change your team name, CH Jeremies sounds like roadkill to me and that's a good thing. |

Concerning a coach on the roster, I'm for it. 4 teams in the playoffs
& 17 weeks sounds good as well. Working on a good name and while I know it's early I would prefer the 24th to draft. Just have to keep
our fingers crossed that no one gets injured. Only one preseason
game left at that point and for most of our guys, they would only be
playing one quarter, if that. FYI I'm moving and won't have internet
access for a few days. I'll update phone info and anything else as soon as I can.

Resolutions from the 2nd league meeting
|

1. Coach is voted IN. 1 fantasy point if your coach's team wins.
2. 4-team playoffs in weeks 15 and 16. Loser brackets play 6 teams in weeks 15-17, so the top two losers get a bye in week 15.
3. Symmetrical schedule is 13 weeks, and week 14 will be a matchup of divisional rankings, with #1 vs. #1, #2 vs. #2, etc. This may be a dangerous experiment that we will revise for 2004, but it is an interesting plan for sure.
4. Mixed Yardage was added for RB's. Check out the league scoring system page to see how this works.
5. All offensive skill positions get +5 points for breaking an alltime single game NFL record. In addition, the yardage charts will have a linear addition of +1 for every 20 yards past the exponential maximum (the traditional system would have a cap of, for example's sake, 210 yards and 20 points, and now the same chart would have 230 yards be equal to 21 points, etc.). |
