i agree that it is a preposterous trade that ignores current valuation as well as the initial auction valuation which was paid by the Vixens. that being said, we intentionally do not have an approval process because the philosophy is that every trade is "valid" as long as there is no collusion. if we detect collusion, then both owners get ejected from the league. but as long as corruption isn't in play, it's kind of legit.
i only take solace in the fact that a 3-0 team just traded away a top WR for basically a RBBC has-been, and the Wookies will benefit accordingly. the Vixens traded away a huge part of their portfolio and basically got nothing in return. that 3-0 team will not stay undefeated and they'll get their just desserts by the time the playoffs roll around.
that being said, i do find it as frustrating as everyone else. in a game of inches, this kind of shallow and reckless trading undermines everyone's group efforts. public tar and feathering is certainly warranted. |

The trade
|

I need back-up at RB. If Ajayi is iffy I'm screwed. I have a solid WR corp, so I can afford to overpay, seeing as how the RB FA pool is fairly bleak. Is this the most advantageous trade I've ever made? No. But I feel like I patched a hole the best way I could under the circumstances. We shall see how it all plays out.
One thing is for sure. After this week there will be a clear leader in Midgard. Gl to all! |

I would also like to point out that this is the first time I have been offered anything resembling a reasonable trade in Midgard. On second thought it might be the first actual trade I've been offered period. Hopefully this points to a new direction in the League. So before anyone starts criticizing the valuations, let's discuss why this League has been devoid of trade and interaction up until now. Perhaps I didn't make a great trade but at least I was willing to deal. That's more than I can say for the rest of y'all for a very long time. |

first of all, saying you need "backup at RB" is not a strong argument for trading away your starting stud WR.
secondly, you spent 25% of your auction budget on Mike Evans and then traded him after two weeks. and you traded him for a mediocre player who is in a RBBC and about to lose his starting job to D'onta Foreman.
in another league this year, you drafted Brandin Cooks as the first pick in the 2nd round. this took place *after* the thursday night opening game, which means that you knew you couldn't play him in Week 1 but yet you picked him anyway. which is fine if you valued Cooks and were willing to sacrifice that week for the overall value for the season. and then after Week 2, you traded all of Cooks' equity for Marvin Jones in that league. that has to be the worst trade i've ever seen in 21 years of playing fantasy football and it will disrupt the balance of that league.
if you aren't paying attention to football, i.e. the fact that Lamar Miller is likely now part of a RBBC in Houston, then don't do trades. you've done three (3) imbalancing trades since the end of last season and all three have had negative effects upon the relevant leagues. in a game of inches, you are destroying the competitive balance with every trade you make. get informed and have a plan instead of just being a reactive owner. |

Evans Trade

Everyone's completely discounting Miller here. It's not a forgone conclusion that he's entering a RBBC. It could be a Hou offense struggling to find it's legs under a rookie QB. I did spend northwards of $50 on the dude and am not dealing out of a sense of doom, but rather trying to trade where I am deep (RB) for areas where I am shallow. Don't want to deal Free and my other RB's are still a little unknown so Miller was the best choice. I was trying to get Vixens TE off of her with a combo deal of Miller & a TE and I was surprised when she countered with Evans. Of course at face value it looks like a win for me, but that Houston offense gains momentum next week and it's even. She's a little shallow at RB which is why I approached her in the first place.
Anyhow, just my 2¢ |

To clarify

The comments made concerning the Vixens trade were made by me, not Alicia. Those comments were neither cleared nor authorized. I will now resume sleeping on the couch.
Alicia would like to add that there was no conclusion between the Vixens and the Wookie aside from possibly that weekend on Tattooine. |

Take home point

Maybe try a counter trade for one of your other strong receivers who isn't Mike Evans. For reference I was offered miller for devante Parker and rejected it. Though to be fair I offered that trade before the season started and Wookiee declined. |
