|
Change the order of teams in playoff
Instead of slots 1-4 being to the division winners and 5-6 the wild cards
Go in order of overall record.
My reason is why should a team with a 6-7 record be ranked higher than a team with a 9-4 record and thus have the tie breaker over them? |

I think length of field goals was brought up
|

Should longer field goals be worth more points?
My reason for is that it makes good kickers more valuable, and therefore picked higher in the draft. Instead of rounds 13 and later. |

How about having more than one free agency per week
|
|
|
|
| I know this was an irritant for me, and I know I heard a few rumbling from others as well. Now that free agency is automated this shouldn't be much of an issue |

Things to think about
|

I am going to write a list of proposed rule changes that have been brought up that we will be voting on and we should think about before voting at our owners meeting. Hopefully this is all of them if not just add them as a tag to this post.
1) ORDER OF TEAM RANKINGS INTHE PLAYOFFS
-Right now teams 1-4 are the division winners and 5&6 are wild card winners.
-Proposed change teams are ranked 1-6 per overall record with at least 1 team from each division.
(Reason to change) Why the hell is a team with a 6-7 record ranked ahead of a team with a 9-4 record, also getting the playoff tie breaker in their favor.
(Reason not to change) This is the way the NFL ranks its playoff order, Suck it up cry baby!
2) LONGER FIELD GOALS DESERVE MORE POINTS
-Right now all field goals weather 1 yard or 61 yards are 3 points.
-Proposed change field goals values change as difficulty increases.
(Reason to change) This increases the value of elite kickers
(Reason not to change) This is the way the NFL does it, See above.
3) MULTIPLE FREE AGENCIES PER WEEK
-Right now we have one on Wednesday evening.
-Proposed change two one Wednesday evening and one Sunday morning.
(Reason to change) Flexibility of rosters, Convenience
(Reason not to change) I just cant think of one.
4) ADDING AN INJURED RESERVE SLOT TO ROSTER
-Right now we do not have an IR slot
-Proposed change adding a slot to each roster that would allow an owner to place one player in an injured status not counting against your roster number. Used for teams to keep a potential franchise player without damaging next years roster. IR may only be applied to one player per year, once on they cannot come off even if they are reactivated in the real world.
(Reason to change) Having a franchise type player go down can ruin a fantasy season but also having to hold a roster spot for them so an owner can keep them next year, Sucks! Worse yet having to drop a teams only great player and leaving no potential franchise on their roster.
(Reason not to change) Rosters are too big already, Nancy!
5) REDUCING ROSTER SIZE
-Right now we have 19 players, 9/10 starters 9 bench
-Proposed change 15 players , 9/10 starters 5 bench
(Reason to change) This will make free agency more relevant each week
(Reason not to change) Security of roster, owners will not be able to stash their backups on their roster.
6) MANDATE KEEPING 2 KICKERS AND 2 D/ST
-Right now we draft 2 and 2 but are allowed to drop at first free agency
-Proposed change each team must have 2 and 2 at the start of Sundays games
(Reason to change) This avoids roster hoarding of RB's or WR's ie. the Brandon rule.
(Reason not to change) Roster flexibility.
