I understand why FA wouldn't be allowed in the playoffs, since you wouldn't want a matchup being determined by someone's ability to pick up a game-changing FA, but why not allow it for the final week of the regular season?
It wouldn't have changed my inability to make the playoffs, so don't think this is sour grapes. |

the reasoning behind this stone age rule is that a more aggressive lockdown date would place more emphasis on roster depth as a valued ingredient for a Champion, as depth would be needed in order to run the gauntlet of attrition that is the final four weeks.
that being said, it is a bit antiquated and many fantasy owners these days are used to more more open approach. let's put it up for a league ballot and see what everyone thinks. we can integrate this for the 2016 campaign if folks would like to see that change.
