A little unsure of what just happened in Free Agency

So, last week I got an email, and checked the site; that my failed bid for Charcandrick West went to Heiny Kickers; who won the bid; I noticed the tie but didn't see anything in the rules at first glance; so I thought it was because they had the worst record and lowest points.
Which seemingly is what this little entry states in the rules when I looked at them today
"PS if high points tie nobody gets them and you may bid again next week."
I had perused free agents about 5ish today? maybe earlier; and like normal there wasn't a single person worth bidding on (since every team can hoard RB/TE/WR due to another questionable roster rule)and if there happens to be one available they are bidded on like the only pretty girl gets hit on at the bar.
Then I get an email tonight saying one of last weeks bidders picked up West for 14 less than what was bidded last week, and Heiny kickers picked up a QB; so I go to the Free agency transactions from last week; and the transaction isn't even there; winning/losing bids nothing.
Then a few minutes ago I pull it up and it shows everyone lost their bid, even though I'm quite certain West was on Heiny Kickers roster this weekend.
I'm also fairly certain no email nothing came out saying West was available because somehow, even the rule is somewhat vague; I was supposed to know the winning bid actually wasn't a winning a bid and even though west wasn't available this afternoon and was on a roster this weekend I somehow should have known to check again at possibly 755pm to bid on a player that was formally picked up by someone else, and then was picked up by the other failed team that bid on them last week.
Seriously; WTF?
Email from last week; nothing since then.

Free Agency Tie

I seen it posted on right side of free agency screen, It was the last line which stated that there is no TIEBREAKERS. If two people tie the player goes back into player pool. I was the one that pointed it out to Eric and to league creator. It should have been posted on main Osage fantasy football page. Next time can we make sure it does get posted so everyone can see it. It was the first tie of free agency bidding so I can see where confusion might have come from.
