when allocating payments via LeagueSafe, i see that Darth Manster has not paid dues for 2012. this reminded me of the whole dues snafu back in August. apparently, it was never resolved?
i apologize to the league for this oversight on my behalf. August was an absolutely insane month for me and this item was not followed up.
Darth Manster, please pay ASAP so that everyone can get their prizes. if there is another issue in play or other information regarding this, please let us know.
as a footnote, dues policies going forward will be:
1) i will not serve as a middle-man for any payments. owners need to pay their own dues under their own name.
2) there will now be a strict dues deadline of August 1st of each year if you want to reserve your team. any teams not paid up will be in danger of losing their team to the first comer who brings the dough. we start the auction on August 10, so that will give the league long enough to find a replacement.
i hate to sound like a dick about the dues, but 17 years of playing fantasy football has taught me that having such policies are alot better for everyone concerned. until i started using LeagueSafe, i would lose money every year by covering other owners. i'm STILL owed money for some years past. LeagueSafe brings accountability and transparency to the process, and there is no reason why there should be this type of inconvenience suffered by everyone else. only by having strict rules will these types of problems permanently go away.
as an aside, i am also setting up Midgard 2013 in LeagueSafe right now. This means that everyone has 7 full months to come up with their $25 2013 dues if they wish to re-up. LeagueSafe allows for partial payments, so you can even put in 5 bucks a month until it's all paid. the point is - there is no excuse to make it difficult to come up with dues and do so by the deadline.
again, i apologize for this snafu. with the new policies going forward, this simply won't be happening again.

I thought Steve had taken care of it and he thought I go it paid after the LeagueSafe issues. Keith can I still pay on LS or do you want me to send via mail?
If I would have known it was outstanding I would have paid long ago. Is there a way for a flag or notice of some kind? |

| it's too late for LeagueSafe, but if you could send the $25 to my snail mail address (shown in the league owners page) that would be peachy. i'll go ahead and allocate prize payouts today. go Vikings. |
