How did I lose a point?
|
|
|
|
Yesterday my score was 81 tied with green Fairy's 81. This morning I show 80. Can you tell me how that happened and where I lost the one point from last night after MNF to this morning?
Thanks, Dat |

I was wondering what a VP was in the first place? Seems that the ranking are dependent on that. |

VP = Victory Point
You get one VP for a win and one VP when you are in the top half of scoring for the week. |

Thanks, didn't know that. So I calculated my points, and I guess this league doesn't take into account the decimal system. For example, 59 yards receiving = 5 points. And also, receiving and rushing yards are not tabulated together for a total and then /10 for points?
I'm still trying to figure out how I lost a point magically... :-/
Thanks for the clarification guys.

decimals? get outta here! combined yardage? that's so, like, 2012.
in a related vein, the old adage "stats are stats are stats" rings true for Aurora. Ok, maybe it's not an old adage and I just made it up, but it's true nonetheless. so what that means is that i'm not sure what caused a 2pt swing in the final score of the Kingdom's game, but the stats speak for themselves. similarly, there is the Arther Anderson Rule which states that any historic stats from earlier in the season can also be corrected, up until kickoff of the first game in Week 13. that's because "stats are stats are stats" and corrections can be needed for reasons including the fact that stats are routinely changed post-week by the NFL. Beetlejuice found a needed correction in Week 6 and just rightfully won himself a game. everyone should always take a close look at and audit all of their games, simply as a matter of good practice and also a way of self responsibility.
sheeit, when i started playing fantasy football we used to have to wait until monday morning in order to go out and buy a USA Today for the boxscores. then we'd manually score every player using paper and pencil. so all you meddling kids, stay off of my lawn!
ok, one more thing related to numbers and science: Victory Points. yep, those are the primary determinant for the standings. second and third tiebreakers are defined in the league Rules page. |
