but HST's birthday was yesterday. R.I.P. HST.
he was one of the greatest Americans, and as a society we'll probably never allow another one like him. |

WRMC declares as their keeper...
Arian Rodgers.
Or maybe it should be Aaron Foster?
Wait...
Hold on...
Man, this is harder than I thought it would be.
Do I actually have to make a declaration or will the website do it for me based on how I set things on my team page? |

The website will do it for you...

even if you post on the forum, you should fill out the form on your team homepage
that is the Official way to do it, plus it is the method to actually have the selections processed. any posts on the forum are simply gentlemen's declarations. or total bullshit. |

Four teams did not put in their keeper selections: Rush, Danzig, Bass, and Maulers. Shit, even the luddite Factor managed to login and select their keepers.
ok you four gents, what's up? you've had all offseason to do it.
i'm not sure what the remedy is here. these four did not put in keepers AND they've seen everyone else's keepers. totally, totally uncool.
in the past, there has been a 5MB fine for every x days that a keeper wasn't declared after the deadline. also, there MAY BE be a default-to-the-previous season's Franchise Player, WITH NO CHOICE AVAILABLE. that apparently may be the only way to get everyone to take the deadline seriously. Hmmmm... s**tballs. |

Some options
We can deduct MBs, we can award Kent Drew Brees since he posted it and let the other 3 teams go without franchise players, or we can all recognize that none of these deadbeats has any chance of winning the league, so let it slide. Also, they have to get beers at the draft.
On another topic, how do I know what rounds the rookies were kept in? I want to know how hard I should laugh at everyone for their terrible decisions.

To be fair...

kent did declare

on the board. the other three nimwits get last year's keeper with no option for a rookie. That's what i think. |

for 2 of the 3 teams, "forcing" them to keep last seasons franchise players isn't a punishment as it would appear the Bass would franchise MJD again and the Rush franchise Ray Rice again. I don't think either of these would be too earth-shattering, though I suppose there was a chance they were going to franchise the Bills' and Vikings' defenses, respectively.
The only team this would actually punish would be steely-danzig. Now, maybe Mike deserves this for blowing through the league with ease last season (and winning poker night to boot), but in this way the punishment would not seem uniform across all 3 offenders.
Giving them no franchise player at all seems severe, while a 5MB fine per day seems lenient (in my opinion). I don't know what the right answer is, but that won't stop me from babbling on nonsensically. Hey, maybe I should run for office! |

Keepers and Rookies are IN
Everything is correct on the Rosters page. For the Rookies, here is when they were kept:
Cam Newton: 2nd Round Julio Jones: 3rd Round Mark Ingram: 8th Round Andy Dalton: 10th Round Delone Carter: 13th Round

My apologies
I swore it was Aug 1st, 12:00 am, maybe I am at the wrong side of 12:00 am. I was waiting to the last minute to see if MJD was going to sign today. I will keep MJD, unless there is some penalty and I am awarded a trophy instead. |
