Rules Proposal 14.3: Auto Backup

It is proposed that we enable an Auto Backup mechanism which accounts for when players are injured or pulled from the game by a coach's decision. For example, if someone owns both Peyton Manning and Curtis "Finger" Painter, they are able to enter this season's Week 16 game knowing that at least they'll get 60 minutes of play from the QB position.
This is actually not as advantageous as some may imply:
1) In order to "gain" this ability they would have to dedicate a roster slot for this outcome that may never even happen.
2) With our threshold-based yardage scoring system, the incoming QB would also have to overcome the yardage hump before any points start to accrue. For example, in our system a QB does not get any fantasy points for 99 yards or less, and this means that Manning and Painter's first 198 yards passing don't even score a point for their fantasy team.
This rule would reflect the NFL very well, still require a sacrifice by owners, and it will also affect drafting and trading valuations.
Currently as it is proposed, this would be a simple implementation for those positions that only have 1 player on the field (QB, but K could be done as well - look at the Saints this season). It would be interesting to apply it to other positions, but this is slightly muddy territory when it comes to determining when the players handed off the baton (to use a track metaphor). The one hardfast determinant is that a position only has 60 minutes or less of game time. It could probably be done at RB, but it gets really murky at WR and TE. DF would not be able to have Auto Backup, obviously.
