It is proposed that we continue the direction in which we modified our scoring system for the 2009 season, and do so by slightly flattening the yardage scoring curves in the lower and middle areas of the yardage charts.
As mentioned in the past, when the Ragnarok scoring system was first created way back in 1997, we were explorers in a fantasy wilderness. Now, standardized scoring systems abound and they tend to be more balanced than our antiquated system. While we will probably never fully embrace a standardized system, it is an improvement for us to have the scoring recognize the value of a player having a respectable performance.
It's proposed that we take the similar approach that we did for this year, and adjust the yardage scoring with the same degree of care.

Official Vote: Updated Scoring
Following the lead from 2009's scoring tweaks, it is proposed that we do another conservative round of updates that will slightly flatten the exponential curve and better reflect those players that perform well but do not go all Arlen "Superstar" Harris on the charts.
