The Maulers name DeAngelo Williams as our Franchise player and retain Matt Forte with the Rookie Rule.
I can't wait to get started and to see everyone. Oh and on a personal note I am now officially engaged!
My fiance Alicia may even be coming along to the draft festivities and serving as Beer Wench.
After playing the new UFC game on Keith's X-Box 360, I suggested that perhaps we could do a tournament with it. The game ROX! |

Thanks to Kent for kicking things off in 2009. I've been having some trouble getting to the site lately (anyone else having the same problem? I finally just used a direct link to Ragnarok; http://www.customizedfootball.com/leagues/league-main.asp?leagueID=272) but i'm finally in and ready to announce: i'll be keeping Tom Brady.

| I don't think you are able to keep Lynch. you did not draft him and the rookie rule only applies to "drafted players who do not enter the free agent market." Sorry dude. |

| I think that the rookie rule now allows teams to keep players they didn't draft, as long as someone drafted that player and the player was never released to the FA pool. But i was confused about the new rule the day it changed and my memory isn't getting better... |

| I'm not really sure when the rule was changed, but Joe was allowed to keep Lynch in last year's draft even though he was drafted by Will in 2007. |

My understanding of the rules allows me to keep Lynch in the terms of "Rookie". He was drafted by Will, but traded to the Bass, never entering free agency. See below from "The Rookie Rule", line 2:
If a rookie was drafted in the previous year's draft, in the current year that owner may keep both their regular Franchise Player and that one rookie, IF that rookie was drafted and had never entered the free agent pool.
