| Just to keep things fair, the Manning/Anderson trade was illegal because it leaves the Pollution with too many players on their rosters. I don't mind the trade going through. Just release someone... |

| Both owners just need to announce who they are releasing. Hopefully in a timely manner that won't affect free agency at all (assuming anyone wants one of the released players). |

trades can involve imbalanced ratios (2:1, 3:2, etc.)

teams have until kickoff in order to waive players to reach their roster limit. this allows teams to pull off multi-team trades within a reasonable time window.
with the addition of a Sunday morning FA, though, perhaps we should be more aggressive about the roster limit. previously, this extended window to support multi-team trades didn't really have any downside as long as any extra players were waived by kickoff. with Sunday morning FA, however, it is probably a better approach to have the rules state that roster limits simply have to be adhered to in realtime, so that the FA pool is fairly populated? |
