    Good Luck to top six!
but I must agree with Billy. I understand the logic to the seeding, but it doesn't look right.

I'd like to see during the off-season to have y'all just think about maybe having an eight man playoff? Leave the last four out. Keep the $$$ the same (top six), but if the records are going to be this tight, throw in two more wild cards. Now that we have four divisions, top four seeds to division winners, it leaves only two available slots. To me, this feels more like institutionalized segregation. (I know that's what playoffs are, but before it was 50/50 division/wildcards). This isn't sour grapes because if it was eight man playoff, I STILL wouldn't be in at 6-7. Just food for thought... Is this too scary, radical, or impossible?

    the most fair would be.....
the top 6 regardless of division but if we are trying to emulate the NFL, the current system is the most "real".

divisional strength of schedules is reflected
the reason the NFL does it that way is because differences in divisional strength result in uneven schedules. as long as a divisional structure exists, the only fair evaluation would be one that includes a consideration for strengths of schedule resulting from divisional differences. if we did not have any divisions and instead just played everyone once, then an overall W-L record would used (but that requires 14 teams).

it may be worth pointing out that this same effect was in place for the first 10 years of the league, even with the three divisions instead of four. in 2005, for example, the top wildcard team had a better record than the worst divisional winner and received the #4 seed. this effect isn't unjust, it's merely reflecting divisional differences in strength.

um, btw... didn't the six teams with the best W-L and YTD points make the playoffs?

    Yeah
I was just thinking on a keyboard. I think this is the best way. It's just wild to see HALF the league with 6-7 or 7-6 record. It's fair....sucks for Stuart.
