Chris Henry

How did the Hitmen get him on their roster with 2, when the Thunder won him with a bid of 16? |

Wrong Henry, but still wrong team

The Thunder got Ten RB Henry, not Cin WR Henry. But I think i should get WR Henry since the Hitmen have a better record. Is that right commish? |

Is that really the rule?

I was told otherwise last week and had to give up Bironas because of it. |

yow! dems is the rules
as Will points out, the official rule book does state that the first bidder gets the bid. this does stir the cobwebs a little bit, but it is still a bit surprising and i admit kind of cool to rediscover that. we'll have to reverse last week's FA movement and "grant" Tynes to Stu, etc. since this is an odd situation, it seems like we should give Kent the opportunity to take Nedney for use this past sunday. |

Bironas not Tynes

I think you're getting all the different kickers you've dropped confused with each other. |

That's one weird rule
But oh well. Do you think we could change that next year? i'm not sure what makes bidding early any better than bidding late. |

i think it was a deliberate design decision
and i kind of like our forgotten genius. since we already give +10MB for every loss (which is a uniquely socialist rule not found in any other fantasy leagues that i have ever heard of (ps, vote Kucinich)), i kind of recollect that the rule change involved the idea of not giving an additional and even more significant advantage, namely the Tiebreaker advantage. i think i recall that the prior discussion involved adjusting that particular advantage which has the potential to become extreme as the season plays out and the bank balances shrink.
oh, and the bidding early vs late idea was to reward quick decisions. like the vikings. |

rule makes sense to me.......

Weird is my new word i guess

Didn't realize that i was doing that. But for the record, be prepared to get the weird beaten out of you come week 11. Vote Elizabeth Kucinich |
