my 2 cents on draft issues.......
look, Im no Republican, but Im sure as shit not a goddamn commie!! I have sympathy for anyone who works hard and comes up short and in a perfect world it wouldnt be that way (far out, man.....peace). Thats life, thats gambling!!! In my other league, i get my dick kicked in every year, I have good players, but they cant seem to put a season together. Do you think Im going and bitching to my league mates that I should be rewarded for losing??? Do you think i would feel good if I were given something for nothing and then won?? Probably not. Plenty of low draft positon people have made it to the play-offs, ie- myself on 2 different occasions. I want the league to be as fair and competitive as possible, but i still want the integrity and respect maintained. I think that would be comprimised penalizing the winners and rewarding the losers. For those who believe they are being kept down by the man, think how good you will feel when you do win by the same rules we all have played by..........football.

    Draft Issues continued
I'd be very reluctant to change our draft system. Looking back through Ragnarok history, there are plenty of examples of lower rung teams moving up quickly (Bass, Bashers, Gamblers, Hitmen, Dynasty(?)), as well as top teams falling off quickly. More than the draft order being the reason for this, I'd say it's DRAFT PREPAREDNESS. Look at someone like Keith. The man has 250 pages of spreadsheets for draft day. The fact that he's always a top team is more the result of his ability to spot talent throughout the draft than picking early in the first round. It is actually very rare to find a team going far on the wings of one or two players. It usually takes a lot of good players taken throughout the draft, which I interpret as meaning draft preparedness is the vital component to success (though luck is a very powerful thing. Isn't that right Joe?).
So unless there's some argument out there that shows that draft order is more important that draft preparedness, i'd prefer to keep the old system.

    I agree with the Gamblers
I agree draft order makes no difference, team management throughout the entire draft and the season puts you in the playoffs. All of us value players differently, and unfortunately we cannot make all of the picks the way Jeremy thinks we should. Dickhead, I mean Jeremy, is correct, luck is a major contributing factor. Everyone in our division has caught the Teddy Bruins on a bad week. He plays other division teams and scores the league record for points. The Bass franchise would rather be lucky then good; considering when I look over the books and see that the Bass franchise is in the black, having at minimum won back the entry fee.
