Why are we choosing franchise players so early in the preseason? What happens if the player we pick gets hurt and is out for the season? Why don't we wait until later to pick who our franchise player will be? I think it would be much better if we waited until right before the draft to choose a franchise player.

This is the latest we've ever done it
And in the past franchise players have been injured and you were allowed pick someone else from your team. Unfortunately, I can't be at the draft so I'm going to have to give a list to little buddy. It would be hard to have a list if I don't know who the franchise players are.

That's true
Goodman and Nelvis need to know who franchise players are in order to rank their top 150. If your FP gets hurt in the preseason, you will be allowed to replace them. Pat is gay. So the deadline stays the same.

Good points fellas. I did not think of that. Big Enis chooses to keep Steven Jackson as it's franchise player.
