2007 Proposed Bill RG1174: The Freedom From Islamo-Fascism Bill
We could combine the idea of realignment alongside having a 16 week season.
It is proposed that we realign into four divisions with three teams each. By doing so,
1) we would have a symmetrical 13 week regular seaon 2) we maintain a 3 week playoff 3) the Championship game is in Week 16 4) we mimic the structure of the NFL - 4 divisions 5) each divisional winner makes the playoffs and we also have 2 wildcard teams 6) it reduces slightly the impact of the differences in divisional strengths from year to year
For the realignment, we would draw for divisions on Draft Day 2007.
Each division will vote for what to name their division, chosen from a master list that everyone has contributed to and mutually approved.
