Tri Lams/Swine errors (Ice Cold Beer league)
There are 2 errors in the Tri Lams/Swine game. First, the Dallas D (for the Swine) did not hold the Giants' offense to 10 points. New York scored 17 and won the game - so the Swine shouldn't get any points for "held." The Swine's correct defensive score is 2.
Second, the Steelers lost to the Bengals, so coach Cowher doesn't get a point.
Just out of curiosity, how to points get posted to the games? Does it happen automatically, do you do it (Keith), or does the league commissioner? Just curious. Thanks for your help.

In regards to the Dallas D in Week 13, Points Held takes into consideration only points that happen when that DF or ST is actually on the field. Therefore, since 7 of the points were a result of the Bledsoe fumble and the DF recovering it for a TD, the Dallas DF wasn't on the field and thus aren't penalized for this mistake by the Dallas offense. Thus, 10 points and not 17.
I'll correct that Cowher score...
Oh, yes, the basic process is this - raw stats get put into the system (this used to be manual, but is now automated), then each league's fantasy points are calculated and updated (each league has it's own scoring system). Then each team's score is added up. I've got it down to just a few mouse-clicks now, vs 1000 manually entered players, etc. This automation does, however, inject more errors and omissions, but over time those will diminish. |
