Covid and The Draft Weekend
It's probably a good thing to get all of this worked out early and come to agreement on what we think is the best way to have a safe and worry free weekend. I think a good approach that cuts through the noise and avoids unnecessary debate would be for all of us to simply get tested before draft weekend. This holds true for vaccinated people, too.
Speaking for myself, I'll be happy to get a PCR test early in the week and then I won't be leaving my house until I travel on Thursday. If folks want to get a rapid test instead, that's fine by me. But regardless of the chosen test, I think everyone having negative results will grant peace of mind for all of us.

I agree
That is a great idea. I will also get a PCR test on the 2 days before I arrive on Thursday. I am not able to isolate after the test as my job is front facing with people. I have been masking at my job starting this past week and we as a business have been strictly following CDC guild lines for what that is worth to everyone. Even with a negative PCR test I think it’s important for everyone to do what makes them feel comfortable. I personally will probably still wear a mask indoors. But I don’t expect anyone else to if they don’t want to. I can’t wait to see everyone and Stu.. I really hope you are able to make it. I don’t see any problem with starting late on Friday. Love you all!

I would be able to get a rapid test
that week too. As of today, masks are optional for students at my school. I can’t imagine that staying that way. But who knows. There are folks who have been trying to destroy public education for years. Anyway...
Getting closer!

Mask mandate started again in DC at 5 AM yesterday
I'll get off work at 7 or 8 Friday morning and I work the front desk of a hotel. So isolation isn't possible. But I will be masking for at least as long as the mandate holds. Getting a test during the week before heading down shouldn't be an issue.

100% agree.
The goal is to have as safe and stress-free of a week-end that we can. I am debating re-masking at work, but have not yet. I plan to get tested before I come. I have a high exposure job like Billy, and I've already survived the virus and the vaccine so I may be a bit more jaded than some. I just want all you guys that I love and care about to be stay well.

Will be tested. Required for work anyways.
