 Gentlemen, it's time to face the reality of the loss of Scott and to find the next owner who is worthy of joining our esteemed club.
This should be a group decision and we should try to work through it in a timely manner so that the new person can arrange for the draft weekend. It's already the end of June and the draft will be here in just a couple of months.
Before getting into the nitty, I'd like to offer what I think are the most important qualities that we are looking for (in no particular order):
* Competitiveness and competence. We want our league to be composed of killers. Wins and Championships matter more when that is the case.
* Availability for Draft Weekend. Eric and David are grandfathered in, but any new owner must be able to commit to being there every year.
* Is fun to be around, a good sport, and treats others with respect.
So far, there are two official candidates!
Billy has nominated Tom, who he plays fantasy football with in the Orange County Social Club fantasy league. Billy can speak more about Tom's qualities, but from talking with Billy it seems that Tom is a super fun guy, a local musician, very competitive and a thinker when it comes to fantasy football, is willing to commit to draft weekends, and is really fun to be around. Rumor has it that he likes the devil's lettuce.
Eric and Kent have nominated Mike, who plays fantasy football in the Midgard auction league and has made the playoffs both years since joining that league. Mike lives in Pennsylvania but has verbally committed to coming down to the draft each year. Eric, Kent, Mike, and myself have known each other since the mid 90's and Mike is a good guy who is fun to be around. Stu and Mike and Kent would probably have a Hearthstone-off.
If anyone has any other nominations, please speak up now because time is ticking for whoever ends up being the n00b.
It would be ideal if we could move forward on this as best we can, and if we can pull off a group decision by July 1 that would give the n00b time to make their appropriate arrangements.

| I really like Tom and believe he would be a great addition our league but am not against any recommendations from Eric, Keith or anyone else if they wish to nominate. Let’s fucking go!! |
