Going to State November 21 and 22! Out of 122 play entries, the Pioneer Playmakers are back among the top 16 plays in the state!
We will have an encore presentation Tuesday November 19th at 7pm.
We scored Superiors in all categories from both Adjudicators.

I totally missed it when you first posted this news. But that's awesome! Honestly, everyone knows Maggie and Cole dragged your sorry ass across the Outstanding Director finish line, but it's a win all the same. ;)
I remember you saying this play was a bit of a departure from the standard high school play, so I'm all the more pleased that your efforts paid off. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Burnsville Tough! |

STATE CHAMPIONS BITCHES

From my colleague:
Zach Walker and the Pioneer Playmakers just threw down one of the most beautiful, intense, relentless shows I've ever seen at the state festival. They made a cake that they loved. And they got a heap o icing on it. .
Zach won the John Parker Directing award.
Our students Zeb & Elise won Outstanding Achievement in Acting, making them the top two actors in the STATE.
And they won the Audience vote award, one of two shows to win State and the honor of representing NC at SETC in Louisville KY WITH 12 other states!!!!
Congratulations and a million thanks to all the playmakers and our amazing parent supporters!!! Woot woot!!
I say, it's great to be a Pioneer!!!!
