Football meeting planned for July 20th. 6:00 at the better place.
Currently on the agenda are 1) future draft orders, as I don’t want to have 12 years of record keeping. 2) yardage for kickers. 3) increase in dues to allow weekly pay outs. This would have to be unanimous, as everyone’s economic situation is different. Let me know of any other thing, thanks, E |

after watching Season 8 of Game of Thrones...
... I'd like to add this to the agenda for the 7/20 league meeting:
4) New divisional names
After witnessing the epic ineptitude of season 8, I felt like I just wasted eight years of my life. G.o.T. is dead to me. |

Rules Book cleanups
I went through the existing league Rules Book and broke out the text into their own rules sections. This makes it easier to digest and it also provides a nice list of links at the top of the page, basically a table of contents that you can click to view the section of interest. |

league dues
I forgot to mention this before the rules meeting that y'all had yesterday, but I wanted to bring it up for consideration by the league: Using LeagueSafe to handle the dues.
From past experience, I know what a pain in the butt it is to deal with dues regardless of whether you are the payer or the treasurer or the prize winners. And for the treasurer, it really sucks.
There is an online service called LeagueSafe and that is where dues are handled in my other leagues. Each owner pays their dues through LeagueSafe and then once the season is over, the prizes are allocated and submitted to the league owners for approval. Once a majority approves the allocation, all prizes are immediate paid out at the end of December. There would be no need for Eric to be a middle man.
In addition, you can pay your dues using either a check, debit card, or credit card. And you can pay it anytime, well in advance of August if you wish. You can even make multiple payments if you wanted to spread it out ahead of time.
The only "negative" is that they charge a nominal fee of 4%. And so when you pay your dues it would be $72.80 and LeagueSafe would be keeping the $2.80 to handle the cost of their services as well as banking fees. Personally, I find this to be negligible and the list of positives greatly outweigh this one negative.
Just tossing it out there for people to think about... |

meeting results
1)Teams were chosen by a random roll of the die.2) We will be playing for next years seeds. 3) Yardage is added for kickers. 4) Jeff is spear-heading for an additional $10 per team. This is for a regular season weekly high score payout for $10. This will be an all or nothing vote. 5) The $35 for the loser bowl will be re-dispersed. $10 for the weekly high score and the rest for the winner. |
