    Let's Remember: Deshaun Watson 2017
In light of today's injury news, the Ludicrous Speed organization would like to express it's sincere gratitude and appreciation to a phenomenal fantasy player. While we cannot hope to replace a QB that will match his scoring output, we are confident his legacy will serve as a fine example of inspiration for the team moving forward.

    Deshaun Watson's Fantasy Career Summary

Oct 10th: Watson is signed off waivers by LS, and is immediately named starter for Week 5 over a struggling Matt Ryan. A team spokesman is noncommittal about Watson's status as the permanent starter, as it's believed Ryan is just in a temporary slump.

Rumors at the time suggest LS was actually trying to land Jared Goff the week before, but didn't offer him enough $$$ before he signed with Missile Commanders. This resulted in LS pursuing Watson as a sort of Plan B.

Week 5: Watson puts up 45 pts in his debut, making LS's contest w/Snakebit closer than expected, but not enough to pull off the upset. Rumors abound that LS was so shocked at Watson's numbers that they thought it was a scoring error. The team owner doesn't say so publicly, but decides Watson will keep starting until he puts up a dud. (which is inevitable for a rookie QB)

Week 6: Watson faces future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers in his 2nd start, and puts up a very respectable 27. In a cruel twist of injury fate, Lombardi Leapers famed QB goes down early with a broken collarbone, thereby resulting in 0 pts, and arguably costing them the game.

While trying not to be happy with a division rival's injury, sources close to Ludicrious Speed reveal the team was suddenly very optimistic about the recent turn of events within the division, not knowing that weeks from now, Karma was going to come back and screw them over too.

Week 7: With Watson on bye week, Ryan gets the start and gets 18 in a losing effort to the Endzone Dwellers. While not a bad performance, LS is now convinced Watson is the clear choice moving forward, and officially names him starter.

Instead of keeping Ryan as a backup, LS drops the former draft pick/starter to waivers. The stunning move shows the team's confidence in Watson for the rest of season--despite being just a rookie. There's no way they will regret that in the very near future.

Week 8: Now seen as a franchise QB (at least for 2017) within the organization, expectations are very high for Watson. So what does he do? He throws 3 INT, and still puts up 40 pts. 4 TDs?? LOL.

After week 8's performance, Deshaun ranks #1 overall in total pts scored in the entire league. LS seriously considers starting a new religion/cult based on Watson's accomplishments and assumed future success/impact. Despite this, the team owner has a brief idea of floating him on the trading block for another good QB and maybe an upgrade at WR or TE, but this idea never got out of the "hmmm. interesting idea" phase. Sigh.

Nov 2nd: Watson tears ACL, and is ruled out for the year.
LS officials reportedly checked 4 different sources to make sure this was accurate. Then they got very, extremely drunk, and wrote out the post you're currently reading.

But before that, they called Matt Ryan to check up on "how he was doing" and if he might be kinda sorta interested in coming back to start for the ole team. Ryan informed them he was starting for the Chais organization, and that Ludicrious Speed could go **** themselves. As a result of this conversation, LS signed Super Bowl winning QB Eli Manning instead.

TL;DR, Deshaun Watson fantasy impact will be missed. And all kidding aside, so will his actual football impact. I wish him well on his recovery.
