So, at midnight tonight I have to nominate a player with a bid and a secret high bid. Do we only check in like once a day or is a continual thing all day and night? Is that secret high bid a hard cut-off or will we have a chance to raise again?

Here is a bulleted brain dump:
* You don't have to nominate at midnight, you just have to nominate sometime between 12:00am and 11:59pm each day.
* If you want to get a nomination in at midnight and won't be online, you can set it up to Auto-nominate at 12:00:01am. The interface for that is in the auction room itself. This is a really handy tool if you want to get that clock rolling as quick as possible, especially in the endgame of the auction.
* The bidding is ongoing throughout the day and night - there is no daily check-in or any type of daily processing event. Every bid has its own timer and they all resolve organically.
* You can reset your secret high bid at any time. Your bid's timer will not be affected if your raise or lower your secret bid.
* Just to reiterate, if someone comes in and bids more than your secret high bid, they'll take over ownership of that player and the value will become +1 over your secret high bid. In addition, that player's timer will reset to a new 24 hour clock.
