| I am considering giving The Melvins one last chance to not suck ass. It's a huge gamble, but if it pays off it could be a show for the ages. They are playing the Cradle Aug.9th. Anyone interested? I recommend heavy drug and alcohol use beforehand. |

| of the dozen or so times i did see them, it's about 10% blow-my-socks-off, 60% pretty good overall, and 30% just awful (most of those were after they sobered up). that being said, i was also mulling over going to see them for one last time. Mayhaps! |

They've always been one of my favorite bands to see live.
When I saw them a year ago I don't remember who was on bass, but they ended the show with Halo of Flies by Alice Cooper - which was completely mind blowing.
About a year before that they had Jeff Pinkus from the Butthole Surfers on bass and played a couple of BH Surfers songs in the set.
If this is the lineup with the drummer and bass player from Big Business, it's worth seeing just for the 2 drummer aspect.

| It turns out The Melvins are releasing a double album tomorrow and are going on a massive tour to support it. Based on the flyers, it looks like they are a full trio again. I think this might be one for the ages! I've already requested the night off, so I am definitely there! |
