Draft Order Questions
I guess I need a clarification on the draft order. It will be a lottery system of the top 5 teams and the bottom 5 teams? So dropping players in number do nothing to move draft positions? If I was to drop everyone on my team do you then pick first? Will we know our draft positions before July 15th, when rosters are due to be cut down? Finally when is the draft to be held? Summer is busy season at work and I don't get a lot of time to think about this shit. |

Some clarification (hopefully)

The draft order is completely independent of the number of players you retain. The top 5 teams will have no better than the #6 pick, the bottom 5 teams no worse than the #5 pick. No matter how many players you keep, that's your position in the draft. However, if you keep no one and everyone else keeps at least one, you'll be the first person to select a new player, since everyone else will be selecting someone from their 2003 team as their first pick. Does that help?
Good question on the draft. Can we do it the weekend before the NFL season starts, like we did last year? That's the weekend of September 4th and 5th. It's probably labor day weekend too.

Thanks that does help, will we know the draft order before we release players? I think we should. Weekend before first nfl game sounds good, if it can be Friday or Saturday, have a draft already on Sunday. Krauss |

Mock draft/Trash talk
When can we get together to get the ball rolling? I'm going to try to be up at Zog's tomorrow night to talk shit with Scott and Jim about our other leagues. If that's not good for everyone then throw out a date & time which is good for you. |
