| You're dead on about how insidious this pink ribbon has become. It's a shame too, because, as you noted, it started from a good place. Your point on prevention is so true, and speaks to much of what makes capitalism both successful and occasionally quite evil. There are much better outcomes in focusing on prevention, but a whole lot more money in focusing on a "cure" (which of course requires follow-up money as opposed to just being cured). I'll admit that I feel a bit overwhelmed by such issues, and am prone to just throw my hands up in defeat, but I'm very glad that you haven't. For my part, I guess I'll never be a general, but maybe I can learn to be a better soldier. Fight on, Metalhead! |
