Ragnarok Pro Bowl rosters are set
the Ragnarok Pro Bowl is set up and Pro Bowl ballots/rosters are ready for coaches selections.
team coaches can now set their lineups for Week 16. note that lineups are not considered official until the game actually begins, as per the normal routine.
if an all-star team wins in Week 16, they play again in Week 17.
if any player officially starts in either game, they will be labeled as a "Pro Bowler" on player cards, roster pages, etc. |

Keith is the man.

The Pro Bowl site looks awesome, and what a sweet perk that you've integrated it with the regular Ragnarok site in terms of designating Pro Bowlers. That was a great idea.
In terms of division realignment, I'm fine either way--but if we do shake things up, Keith's suggestion looks ideal to me. |

check out the new Pro Bowl player cards
For an example, go to the Ragnarok rosters page (or the Rush's team page) and click on A.J. Green. I'll also add some other display indicators, but the core functionality is up and running and so is the shiny new Pro Bowl foil card. |

So what happens if our lineup never gets set?
There needs to be some kind of measure set up so that one person can't screw up the pro bowl league for their division (either accidentally or on purpose). |

week 17 = Ugh
lots o' possible benchings in ol' Week 17, so it would be good to avoid it?
i see now that i was an idiot and in my original post i wrote W16 and W17, but i think that was due to a lack of sleep from having a newborn around. in my brain thing it was 15 and 16.
what do you guys want to do? Pro Bowls in W15 and W16, or W16 and W17? |

Sean's original post mentioned week 17
I think the original idea for the Pro Bowl was to have something going on week 17. |

tru, tru. question may be, though: what's the best approach?
do we want to help guarantee that the best players get tagged as Pro Bowlers? or are we fine if a regular season stud gets benched because their team has nothing to play for in Week 17? remember, foil cards are on the line!
then again, it would feel very Hawaii-ish to be watching a fantasy game a week after the Ragnarok Championship. and there would be enough studs on each roster so that we still would still have respectable players as Pro Bowlers. Maybe W16 and W17 is the way to go, and let the chips fall. |

I'm cool either way
I suggested week 17 be included just b/c that would allow us to attach at least some novelty interest in the final week of the season, and it might add a layer of strategy if the Pro Bowl coaches have to figure out which studs may not be playing. That said, the idea of the Pro Bowl would work in weeks 15-16 too... |

doh! let's do W16 and W17
i really like the W16 and W17 the more i think about it. i'll update the schedule accordingly and we'll start the Pro Bowl playoffs this upcoming Week 16 and then have the Pro Bowl final in Week 17. see you all in Hawaii! |

Will you be drafting from the 11 spot again next year, or are you going to move up to 10? |

That's how a title game is supposed to be won. Great year for the Mickelsons. Congratulations all around.
And congrats to Kent, on getting to the title game for the first time. And to Aarik for a truly dominant postseason run in his own right.
And finally, thanks to all of you guys for making this league so much fun. Ragnarok rules. |

You probably took the most grief of anyone during the draft, and look who's laughing now. I cringe to think of all the grief that's coming to us on the next draft weekend. Who's the arrogant motherfucker now?! |

fantasy football championships are composed of part smarts, part work, and tons of good fortune. as we all know, it's a game of inches and also quite the tangled web when looking at how different schedule matchups or other game outcomes can totally reverse the entire landscape. if i would have had a different schedule, or gotten a different seed, or didn't have Legatron to kick that 97pt ball up the Koo's ass in Week 4, everything probably would have been different. as much as i'd like to say it's purely a result of me picking 18 Steals of the Draft on draft day, i wholly acknowledge the luck factor in all of this.
there were a few elements that put me in the playoffs and it did start on draft day. my risky decision to not draft or have a RB until Round 5 is what probably put me over the edge and made my team competitive. thankfully, both Ridley and Bush panned out or i'd be with the fishes. the mid-season trade with the Koo, which a number of owners opined that the Skullsplitters got the short end of the stick, was the pivotal moment that set me up for a playoff run. and lastly, i hired the defensive coordinator away from the Portland Factor and thus kept my opponents from scoring against me. |
