Yikes! Did not mean to drop Brent Celek! I don't know how that happened, since I was trying to drop Hankerson after the FA system screwed up (again).
Can you put Celek back on my roster and drop Hankerson? |

Hi guys,
Sorry if my recent messages have come off a bit snarky. I'm certainly not trying to be mean-spirited. If anything, I've just been frustrated with some of the issues with transactions and scoring
I'm very much enjoying this league, and expect it get even more fun as the weeks becomes more meaningful.

i appreciate everyone's patience, especially during the first two weeks of the season. hopefully things are running smooth for everyone since then.
just a little bit of background may be informative. in a nutshell, i had to move the website to a new server and as a result had to rebuild ALL of the stat mining and scoring, and all of the automation that takes place both during games, as well as the Tuesday processes that switch to a new week.
all the while i was doing that (during the first two weeks of the season, hence the really bad website performance during that time), i was also juggling the repainting and reflooring the entire house by myself. and on top of that, i'm getting married this week here at the house and that's been quite an planning endeavor to say the least. oh yeah, and on top of that, we're having a baby boy next month and that's meant needing to get the baby's room ready (as well as birth classes, doctor appointments, finding a doula, etc.). i think the past three months have been the most grueling three month span of my entire life. There has literally been no time to rest.
anyways, the good news is that the new automated systems are extremely accurate and reliable, compared to the old TRS80-married-to-a-teletype approach in the past. after i get married this week, i'm looking forward to 1) rebuilding the Free Agency resolution from scratch, and 2) finishing the rest of the auxiliary systems (hourly news headlines, badges, and football fu).
while the initial performance woes were quite frustrating for everyone, hopefully now things are smooth as can be (with the exception of the FA signings which will be rebuilt next week). and it may be worth mentioning, too: isn't it nice to not have relentless ads and all of the other corporate whoredom accoutrements one gets to experience when going to any other football website?
