anyone want your past players' football cards?

i am compiling sets of football cards for each of my teams' rosters from past seasons, and am putting them all into my 3-ring football binder so that i can masturbate more easily (especially the '09 team, oo la la).
if anyone would like for me to set aside players from their past teams, please let me know and i'll pull out those players as i go through these. we have cards for seasons 1998-2007.
once i get through the boxes of cards, i'm going to get rid of ALL the extras. if anyone wants that big cache, let me know and they are all yours. |

That is such a great idea. I am totally in for helping out in this project however you need me to. Maybe a second sorter would help? |

Sounds like a fun idea

Instead of compiling my 2009 team, you can just give me a few band aids and some gauze pads. |

all cards for the Gamblers from 2002-2007 have been pulled, as well as all cards for the Dynasty from 2003-2007. i can either drop them in the mail, hand them over the next time we have a beer, or wait until Draft Weekend.
not all of the cards are there for each team season, due to either them being kept after Draft Day by the original drafter (when we used to have the big board with the card slots), or to there being no cards for said players (either due to our purchased sets or the fact that no card exists anywhere in the world). Jeremy, you may want to look around for most of your 2002 team as you probably took those home with you, for example.
even so, when i compiled all of my cards from those sets that we had purchased, i was able to find cards for maybe 70% of my seasons' final rosters. and i was able to fill in most of the remaining gap via buying cards online and doing so on the cheap (i was even able to get a coach card). most cards that i purchased were around $0.35-$0.75 each, and i was able to fill out all of my 2002-2010 final rosters for a total of about 50 bucks - and that includes having to buy all cards for the past three seasons worth of final rosters (we didn't buy cards in 2008, 2009, and 2010).
yeah, it may seem like alot when it is all said and done, but i'm stoked to have complete rosters for all of my fantasy teams. it's really fun to look back on some of those older players, some of which totally slipped your mind and some of which have funny stories related to the league. now i just have the 1997-2001 Skullsplitters seasons to go.
here are the two websites where i was able to fill in all of my gaps: Football Card Shop Check Out My Cards
TIP: when choosing from your card sets on Football Card Shop, open up a second tab/browser and go to Google images and search there to see what each publisher's football sets look like - some are really cool and some are butt ugly. and each year has a different design.
anyone else want their cards? itsa piece o' cake for me to pull those and set those aside.

the Factor, Gamblers, and Koo requested their cards from the 2002-2007 campaign, and i'm not sure if Stu actually wanted his cards? Stu, did you want your cards, or just some proverbial gauze and bandaids?
anyone else want their cards? now's the time to chime, as at the end of this month i'm purging myself of all extraneous cards. anyone? Bueller? |

I wouldn't mind having the cards from that team. Looking at the roster, you should have most of them if you bought a complete set from any of the major card companies (Selvin Young would probably be the lone exception).
I might try for some other type of memorabilia for my current team, like maybe getting the sign from the entrance to the WRMC. It could be available soon.

Real and virtual. Sure, if it's not a big hassle, I'll take me cards. If you're just gonna purge yourself of them. Looks like we're getting some football this fall after all! Can't wait! |
