Hey Everybody - We are thinking about having the draft Wednesday August 26 sometime in the evening at our house (Carrboro, NC). So far I have these people interested:

Draft date is Wednesday, August 26 at our house: 118 Estes Dr. Ext. at 7pm. We'll do food so you can bring a beverage of choice. Please feel free to bring your coaches or advisers. What we don't have in square footage we'll make up for with snacks and smack talking.

It's easy! After you create a user account, you'll be able to set up or join a league.

Would everyone like to have a franchise player (a dude from your roster from last year that you get to keep) this year? If we do this, the new ladies can select a player to have as their franchise player this year well before our draft.

| I want to keep a player from last year. I also think the new teams should be able to pick any player before our draft starts to keep it fair. |

Franchise players

Cool. I will tell Keith that we will have franchise players in our league. He will have to populate our rosters so we can pick them. Of course, we will have all the new ladies select a player to have as their franchise players once we pick from our old rosters and the remaining players can be put in a selection pool. So, I will tell everyone when our old rosters are populated so we can pick our players so the rest can be dropped. Also, once all the new ladies create accounts, we will set up a way for them to pick theirs.

What about the teams from last year - will we HAVE to keep one player from last year, or will we have the option to pick a new player before the draft starts? Just curious...
I do like the idea of everyone having one pre-draft pick though! |

New team owners and details, details...

Morning ladies!
Keith has repopulated our teams from last year. When you go to your team page you should see the checked boxes next to all your players. Just uncheck all but the ONE you want to keep as your franchise player. The deadline for doing this is Monday night at 8pm. Since we have a few new ladies participating this year, everyone has the option to drop all their players. For the new ladies and the people wanting to drop all their players, we will have a quick round right before the draft to select their franchise player. After that, we will have the draft. The order for selecting franchise players and draft order will be determined Tuesday night hopefully. (I’m not sure how the order will be determined....I will continue to bug Keith about it.)
For the new ladies, I need their email addresses (assuming they have signed up for the website) so I can assign them teams. Need them soon so we can all be on the same email list!
I will post this on the facebook site to ensure most people see it.

Welcome new owners!
We have a full league of 10 teams!
For the new ladies, you can change your team page colors and your team name. Just look under the Control Panel for 'Team Appearance' and 'edit team info'. I assigned previously owned teams to Brighid Willis and Lauren Erickson. Of course you can also change the name, colors etc for your teams. You have the additional option of selecting a franchise player from the previous owner's roster. Just unclick all the boxes next to each player except the ONE you would like to keep as your franchise player and then 'update roster'. On Monday night I will hit the big red button to clear the remaining players from all of our rosters.
At the moment, Keith doesn't have an abundance of pictures to choose from to set as your team picture. If you have a cool picture that you want to set as your team picture, just email it to me and I will set it as your team picture. I will be adding a few more pictures to the gallery this weekend but please feel free to send me a few if you have some random pix you think people might like and I can add them to the gallery for others to select.
Sorry this is so long. I am home sick and bored so I am bombarding y'all with emails.
If anyone has any questions about the customization of their team page pleas email me and I will help!
