Auction date

we'll need to nail down two specific dates to have our online auction. the Flayers are on vacation until the 17th, so we may need to wait until the 18th or so. it will probably take two evenings of fun in order to go through all 25 rounds, and even two 8pm-11/12pm weeknights would do the trick.
does anyone have any dates between the 18th and 25th where they CAN'T participate in an auction? anyone have particularly good dates to DO the auction? for weekdays, we'l probably do the 8pm (eastern) start, and for weekends it can be anytime (even early morning is great for me).
also, over the next week i'll be organizing some mock auctions on this website and i'll post those sessions later tonight. if anyone wants to see how it will work for Wasted Years, please join me. more to come on this...

| I vote for doing the draft during the week. But will participate no matter when you decide to hold it. Just decide soon, so I can block it off on my calendar. |

The only days that are good for me that week are Mon and Wed (8/18 & 8/20).
I have soccer practice on Tues, travelling to Pittsuburgh on Thurs, travelling back late on Friday, soccer game on Saturday with a Saturday night live FF draft, and a live FF auction on Sunday. You picked a very busy week for me - lol!!
I will be OK if you find a replacement owner for me because of my scheduling conflicts. The following week I'll be free on Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat or Sun.

| Let's set 8/18 and 8/20 in stone. Starting at 8 pm, Krauss can't do any night before 8. I'll probably be asleep by 8:30 but so what. And welcome to Lymburner (isn't that a stinky cheese?), Kieth said you were easy so that's good. I really love the whole new concept for this league and am glad we are starting from scratch. I hope everyone is in it for the long haul, it's been the most enjoyable league that I've ever been in by far. Equally due to the format of the league and the quality of the owners. Jaimie has two possible contenders for the final spot. |

i just received an email from Bob's friend Jeff, who would like to join us and even has the decency to forewarn us that he is "a fantasy football juggernaut." good, i like juggernauts on my cereal in the morning...
anyways, we have one open slot and Jamie had indicated a friend of his was also interested... let's pick the most experienced, most formidable, most fun owner so that my championships will be all the more impressive. Jamie, what's the word on your bud's real level of interest?

Scheduling the Auction

it looks like the best time to hold our auciton will be the week of 8/26-8/31. David Lymburner is literally in the woods fulfilling the last of his National Guard duty and he won't be back to civilization until after the 24th. and Bob has a very busy week of the 17th to 24th anyways, so in a way that's actually good timing.
i have put together a league calendar where everyone can mark it with their scheduling comments. feel free to update that if you would like... (there is a link on the league homepage)
i'm going to nominate that we hold the auction on two weekights:
* Tuesday August 26, 8pm eastern start
* Thursday August 28, 8pm eastern start
how does that work for everyone? i know it works for me, gustafson, and lymburner, and i think it can work for chris, scott, and maybe jamie... how's it look for everyone?

Jamie is having a wedding anniversary on the 26th, so he is out for that day. The new nominated dates are:
* Wednesday August 27, 8:30pm eastern start
* Thursday August 28, 8pm eastern start
the wednesday start may be slightly delayed as Gustafson has a busy wednesday schedule.

| I'm fine with the 27th and 28th but pushing back the start time is going to suck since i get up at 5 am on weekdays and am almost always sound asleep by 9. I'm sure I can soldier thru, but let's not make it too late if at all possible. |

| hey everyone, I'm still alive despite any and all proof to the contrary. Been moving and unpacking the last couple of weeks, plus the new place has some internet issues. Anyway, the 27/28th should be fine and so should other days that week. Like everyone else, the sooner a time is picked the easier it is for me to set it into my schedule. |

| Looks like I am going to have to be on the road next Wed. the 27th. Chances are I will not be home until late (after 11pm). I appologize for the late notice, but thought since we were able to move things for some other owners, maybe you could do the same for me. Thursday and Friday next week are great though. |
