| Most messed up season ever in terms of standings, records, and playoff teams. Per the rules, it looks like my team, with a worse record than yours, will make the playoffs based on total points scored since we have the same VPs? My team has clearly had the hardest schedule by far judging from the points against. Its a wonder I had any wins at all. |

| If he gets in there soon he can outbid everyone for the top players left on the board, and I would say he could still be totally competitive. After this round though, things will drop off significantly. |

New blood in Ragnarok?

Hey everyone, this is Mike, and I am the other guy nominated for joining Ragnarok. For those of you who don't know me, I figured I should introduce myself. I have known Keith, Eric, and Kent since ~1994. I have been a continual thorn in Kent's side since then, whether it is kicking his ass in Magic the Gathering, Hearthstone, or Ultima Online. I voluntarily took a punch in the face from Eric once after he got pissed because I body slammed him when we were wrestling. And Keith, well, I pretty much just put up with his conspiracy theories over the years.
I actually was asked to join Ragnarok at the very beginning, but was too busy with school at the time, and knew nothing about fantasy football. I started playing fantasy football with family about 10 years ago, managing two different teams (my wife's and mine) winning several championships through that time. Some years I have managed 4 teams in different leagues. I joined the Midguard league in 2018. In the two years I played so far I have gotten 5th place and 4th place, with some notable beat downs of the Raving Hermits.
So... why should you vote for me? First and foremost, I definitely take fantasy football seriously, probably too much so considering that I do have a day job (www.bettslab.org). Second, (and I know this may not earn me more votes) Eric says he may make more effort to show up to the draft each year if I am in it (again, if you view this as a negative just ignore that comment). Third, i would definitely be up for possible MtG drafts or other non-golf related things at draft weekends. Fourth, I won't hesitate to make fun of Keith Eric, or Kent at any opportunity. And, finally, I have an awesome collection of high end Mezcal varieties that I have picked up over the last several years during trips to Mexico- I will be happy to bring one of these each year to the draft to share with you all. |
