I didn't draft with the rumble in mind, but I do love the chaos it brings for the last week right before the playoffs. Mind you, I've only participated in one of them, but it was super exciting to think someone who would have normally coasted into the playoffs by having the second worst score over the team with the worst score could be knocked out completely to the lower bracket. It's such a cool wrinkle with this league. I think I'm against just for that aspect, but could be swayed if arguments are presented that make sense. I am completely down for revisiting it in the off season and potentially having it as a benchmark for teams in week 1 when some in off years or all of us are together. Like let you really see how your team you spent months (or minutes) researching is going to look like when they're all fresh and no one is dealing with injuries.
Also as the FNG, I'll defer to y'alls wisdom though. |

In approval for the rule for sure. Definitely needs to be a high bar though. Last thing we want is it being taken advantage of.
Also in approval of Zach being able to change his player. JT is getting a raw deal from the Colts, and I can't understand why. If I were him, I'd have a 4 month long flu. In turn, that essentially means Zach doesn't get a franchise player if this plays out as most of us foresee happening. So in this specific instance I'm in favor of him changing his franchise player.

It's called a lockbox because you have locked the player in at that pick and plan to start them come hell or high-water. So my take is you can't snipe yourself since you've technically already made your bid. If that person goes off and it gets sniped from you, then them's the breaks. That's the nuance and excitement of the lockbox. It's a gamble.

| I think it's a good move. There's a lot of high profile injuries and hold outs right now that could severely impact what an owner chooses for a keeper. Just from my perspective, being in the Bruins spot with JT asking for a trade, he could end up somewhere or holding out. Giving that extra week so if he does get traded in that time Bruins can make that decision then feels more fair in my book. Plus I already know what y'all are keeping according to my predictions I submitted. |

| Sorry for the delay. Here's my take on it. Yes, there should be some sort of punishment, but I feel like having to get drinks for everyone feels like not a severe enough punishment. I think if someone misses the deadline, everyone who didn't gets a token (multiples if there's more than one offender) and those tokens can be redeemed to have that person do a shot or chug a beer. This would make a real punishment and cause the offender to potentially do their drafting incredibly shitfaced. Just me, but that feels like it's actual punishment rather than being beer bitch 11 times (which we will get from Kent drafting retired players anyway) |

Here's my favorites of the ones we have on the lists:
1. Lake Front Ranch (AirBnB). Just shy on the beds, has a bunch of room for hanging out outside and cool shit inside (croquet anyone? Foosball is life). Dining room looks awesome for League meals too.
2. Log cabin with mountain views and a big pond. Has beds for everyone.
3. The lake place. Doesn't have the beds, but that living room for the draft looks dope.
Really I would like my own bed and if possible room. I sleep like shit in my own house 90% of the time, so I'm willing to pay more than my share to get a bed/room if y'all are okay with it. I'm new guy though, so I understand if I have to sleep in a canoe on the lake (if there is one). |

| I checked with Keith and am going to help him audit all players in the playoffs from the start of them just to ensure it's all correct. There was a bunch of trouble with the data miner at the end of the season, so it's worth it just to make sure. |

So I was looking over some of the all time records and focused in on the lowest score record (I know they haven't been updated in a few years, but still). Since I knocked the crap out of it in week 1 I decided to see how many times it would have been broken or tied this year. I was surprised that it was 15 times. The Maulers tied it once, Surt beat it once, Hockaloogs tied it once and beat it once, Bruins beat it twice, Mao beat it 3 times (including breaking my record breaking low score of 27 from week 1 with a week 14 total of 24), and our Blast Bowl champion beat it 4 times. Gotta love record setting seasons.
On another note, is there any interest in another social for some playoff games? |

I don't know yet if my desire for a great time outweighs my superstition that Keith is a horrid luck charm for my Detroit Lions...
I should be down to go. I have a friend coming into town for the week of Christmas but I think he will be gone by then. I'll let you know when I get his concrete plans for his trip. Should be a blast though! If it's just a few of us, I can host too. My house isn't big, but it's comfy. Probably got enough comfortable seating for like 4-5. Up to y'all though. |

Well for the start of this thread, I think there is a higher probability to actually see Bigfoot, have him over for thanksgiving dinner and marry their daughter off to him than you get a blue chip receiver for a middling Mixon.
As for that trade, I get it. Get you your franchise player, get a promising rookie, then end up below average next year too. That's my plan and it's going swimmingly. |

| In catching up with everything (training a new guy at work, so couldn't keep up today) I think the only reason this became a discussion is due to the timing of the reversal. I'm pretty sure from reading all this, we all understood the reason that Jeremy would be sympathetic over the situation and would offer to undo the trade. It was pretty clear that it wasn't malicious intent or trying to game the rules as Tua got a whopping 0 last night and suffered a pretty brutal injury. In my opinion, the rules as they are stated on reprimand for collusion and bad faith trades don't really apply here. Had this trade happened next Tuesday I don't think there would be nearly this much discussion. The main eyebrow raising part here was that Zach had started Tua and then traded him back before the week was over. Since the reasoning behind that was explained and Zach can't start a different QB this week, I'm fine with it and it's their prerogative to reverse the trade if they see fit. |

| Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you all know that Lauren and I both tested positive for Covid today. Basically had some mild to moderate cold symptoms for about 36 hours now. Feeling way better today though. I spoke to Kent and let him know. He said he's also feeling better today. Just wanted to let y'all know in case you're also feeling some cold symptoms. Hope it's just us, but wanted to make sure everyone was aware. Didn't have any symptoms until Tuesday morning. Hope everyones health is good and it's just an isolated thing. |

Tech Setup for the Draft

| I'll have a static computer there that will have the Zoom setup (If we can use your account, that would be awesome) and for the draft picks to be entered on. It will be streaming to the TV so we can see all the remote boys and the draft board. I'll have a webcam setup on top of the TV as well so remote folks can get the full room with the podium and everything. So really just need you to sign in to the computer for Zoom and it'll all be set. |

| What about adding the punting tier that was proposed to the defensive stats? Like make it so if the punter booms an 80 yard punt the defense would get a couple points for it. It would even out a lot of the mid tier defenses too for scoring purposes. |

| I don't know what my opinion counts for as the newb amongst vets, but I like the idea of the tiered scoring for it. It adds a very strange and interesting wrinkle to the game that no one else is doing. I think the tiered scoring is a cool idea too since it will add more value to teams that suck since they will most likely be punting from their own territory more often. |

After days of self introspection of my own beliefs and the facts I know to be true about the universe around me, I've come to a conclusion. Without a doubt a vampire is a more dangerous interdimensional being. Here's the justification for this conclusion. As far as the mythos of these beings go, Bigfoot (or Bigfeet if there are more than 1 in the herd) have been known to be avoidant of humans. This leads me to believe that they would be benevolant or curious before they would ever pose a threat to humans. As for Vampires, throughout history and lore (primarily in Eastern Europe) vampires have been known to be dicks. In some circumstances, villages provided livestock for the vampires to survive on to spare their own lives, but those flimsy alliances only lasted so long before the vampires would just say fuck it and suck someone dry like a hooker in Vegas who gets paid by the job. I mean I think there's no question that vampires pose more of a threat.
Plus every now and then I just get bad vampire vibes in places. Mainly bars in big cities. Never had a bad Bigfoot vibe and I'm from the PNW where they are from. |
